He was a 2nd team all-conference selection and should be one of the better RB's in the league next season as well.

Nagel was one of the only players statewide to earn all-conference honors as a freshman. He is still somewhat of an unknown but has legit size and could be one of the top two-way threats at the 5A level for a good Lancers program.

27.[player_tooltip player_id='1923716' first='Toka'one' last='Fakapulia'] 6-0 225 DE/OLB McDaniel

UPDATED: One of the state's breakout performers. Fakapulia garnered 2nd team all PIL honors on both sides of the football. His film on D speaks to his upside where he made 23 tackles, and a team leading 7 TFLs and 5 sacks.

28.[player_tooltip player_id='1612591' first='Ethan' last='Peng'] 6-1 175 DB Jesuit

UPDATED: I would expect Peng to be one of the better DB's in the Metro League next season. The Crusaders graduate a solid group of defensive players, and he should fill that void nicely, being able to play both CB/S equally well.

Peng is a legit baseball guy and may go that route collegiately, but he will have options. He brings a QB mindset to the secondary and could end up one of the better DB's in Oregon.

29.[player_tooltip player_id='1614794' first='Kolby' last='Wofford'] 6-2 300 DL Dayton

UPDATED: There were only a few 10th graders to earn 3A all-state honors and he was one of them. Wofford showed off impressive agility in the trenches, finishing with 58 tackles, 5.5 TFL's, and 2.5 sacks for a Dayton team that went (9-1).

Wofford is a physical presence who made 29 tackles for the Pirates as a freshman. He did a good job of getting himself out on the camp circuit against top competition.

30.[player_tooltip player_id='1611484' first='Collin' last='Stortro'] 6-0 185 RB Glencoe

UPDATED: Stortro will step in at the RB next year after earning all-league honors at Safety this past season. [player_tooltip player_id='1232743' first='Daniel' last='Heninger'] was a 1st team all-state back, and Stortro has that type of potential. Look for him to be in the Pacific Conference POY conversation right away.

Coach Reynoso will have a pair of elite RBs with POY [player_tooltip player_id='1232743' first='Daniel' last='Heninger'] returning and Stortro who could be a 1st team all-state guy on both sides of the ball at the 5A level. The Crimson Tide could win a couple playoff games.

31.[player_tooltip player_id='1609799' first='Brennan' last='Christian'] 5-11 225 OLB/DE Willamette

UPDATED: Once again from a projection standpoint, it's hard to say because of size, but he's an incredibly impressive overall player. As a sophomore he made 26 tackles with 6 TFL's and 4 sacks.

It's hard to say where he projects due to size, but he's definitely one of the better players in the state for his class. As a freshman he put up some of the best numbers in the NW among 28's, finishing with 46 tackles, 4 sacks, and 4 TFL's.

32. [player_tooltip player_id='1600443' first='Zach' last='Pollard'] 6-4 185 WR Sunset

UPDATED: Look for Pollard to have an impactful junior year after going somewhat under the radar last season. I would expect the Apollos to get him the ball often using his size to their advantage.

I would expect Pollard to have a big sophomore year at the varsity level. He had an outstanding offseason and should immediately get in the mix for the Apollos.

33.[player_tooltip player_id='2106065' first='Mason' last='Powarczuk'] 6-4 220 OL Tualatin

UPDATED: Powarczuk started all season for one of the top programs in the state, earning honorable mention all TRL honors. He is very similar to 2028 teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2106063' first='Rocco' last='Grady'], with both possessing the frame necessary to add some significant size.

34.[player_tooltip player_id='2105974' first='Kai' last='Boatsman'] 6-5 180 QB Sherwood

UPDATED: Boatsman looks incredibly fluid for a 6-5 sophomore. He was (4-1) as a starter, hitting on 60% of his passes for 532 yards and 7 TD's/3 INTs. The Bowmen are typically a run first offense, but if they allow him to air it out, he could put up some impressive numbers.

35.[player_tooltip player_id='1609659' first='Cohen' last='Bissell'] 5-10 175 RB West Linn

UPDATED: Bissell killed it for the Lions this past season, garnering honorable mention all TRL accolades. On the year he totaled 720 rushing & receiving yards (8.8 ypc) and 7 TDs on 75 touches.

36.[player_tooltip player_id='1609785' first='Taison' last='Cepeda'] 5-9 160 ATH Tigard

UPDATED: Cepeda was the only sophomore athlete in the TRL to earn 1st or 2nd team all-conference honors offensively in the state's toughest league. He finished with 592 yards and 6 rushing TDs.

Cepeda is a big part of the Tigers' future. He has the potential of being an all-conference athlete as a sophomore in the state's toughest league (TRL).

37.[player_tooltip player_id='1425922' first='Tahkai' last='Smith'] 6-0 155 ATH Westview

UPDATED: Smith was probably the most impressive 2028 in the Metro League from an accolade standpoint, garnering 2nd team all-league honors at WR and also doing well on D. Offensively he caught 31 passes for 512 yards (714 all purpose) and 3 TDs to go with 8 PBU's and an INT on defense.

Smith had a limited role-playing varsity ball as a freshman. He plays the QB spot but may project more in the secondary where he had 10+ tackles. Regardless he is a talented athlete.

38.[player_tooltip player_id='1609605' first='Karoderick' last='Smith'] 5-7 155 CB Tualatin

UPDATED: Tualatin is loaded to the point where numerous top 2028 prospects played JV ball last year, with Smith being another one. He should be one of the top ATH's in the TRL next season.

Easily one of the most talented kids in Oregon for his class. He's originally from Alabama and knows how to play good football. If he grows, he's a D1 guy at some level.

39.[player_tooltip player_id='1609778' first='Justin' last='Shellito'] 6-2 195 QB Centennial

UPDATED: It will be important for Shelito to get out on the camp circuit and show what he can do against top competition. He was able to help the Eagles go (4-5) last season, but it was against incredibly weak competition which is why the offseason is so important.

Elite 11 trainer Alex Brink, one of Oregon's all-time great QB's, says Shellito could be special. He has a legit frame with the arm to match. That being said Centennial has struggled as a program so it might be tough.

40.[player_tooltip player_id='2106007' first='Cal' last='Kofstad'] 6-3 240 OL Silverton

UPDATED: Kofstad was a key contributor for the 5A state champs earning honorable mention all Mid-Willamette honors. Silverton has an elite group of big men coming up through the ranks which includes him, 1st team all-state sophomore lineman [player_tooltip player_id='2105987' first='Mark' last='Bailey'], and 6-7 freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2079649' first='Cade' last='Ellis'].

41.[player_tooltip player_id='2067926' first='Ryder' last='VanDeweghe'] 6-0 195 LB Silverton

UPDATED: One of Oregon's breakout sophomores. VanDeweghe was key in Silverton's 5A state title run, racking up 2nd team all-conference honors with 81 tackles, 7 TFL's, and 3 sacks to go with 2 TD's on offense.

42.[player_tooltip player_id='1609774' first='Bentlee' last='Davenport'] 5-7 140 ATH Thurston

UPDATED: Expect Davenport to be one of the state's top two-way athletes at the 5A level next season. He was a 2nd team all-league selection at DB while catching 9 balls for 167 yards and 2 TDs offensively.

Super talented just small. Regardless of his size, expect him to play on both sides of the football at the Varsity level for the Colts this year, and likely be an all-conference athlete.

43.[player_tooltip player_id='1609776' first='Tevin' last='Candelario'] 5-11 155 CB/ATH Willamette

UPDATED: Candelario started as a sophomore for a loaded Willamette team that made the state quarterfinals. He was an honorable mention all-conference selection finishing with 29 tackles and 2 INTs.

Candelario was dominant playing freshman ball last season and could immediately step in for the Wolverines as a varsity starter on either side of the football this year. He's had one of the better off seasons of any player in the 2028 class.

44.[player_tooltip player_id='2105943' first='Waylon' last='Clarke'] 5-10 165 RB Caldera

UPDATE: People out in Central Oregon are aware but many others aren't. Clarke was the only sophomore to earn 1st team all Intermountain Conference Honors, finishing with 1,043 yards (9.7 ypc) and 13 TDs. His (10.9) 100-meter time puts him in a different category of athlete.

45.[player_tooltip player_id='2106043' first='Quinn' last='Piquette'] 5-11 170 DB Thurston

UPDATED: Get used to the name with Piquette earning 1st team all-league honors as a sophomore and qualifying for the state track meet in the 100 meters as a freshman. He could climb this list quickly.

46.[player_tooltip player_id='1924243' first='Jayden' last='Locke'] 6-4 185 QB Milwaukie

UPDATED: Locke had a breakout season for a much-improved Milwaukie program, being named the NWOC Co-Offensive POY as a sophomore. Separate from his impressive size he was incredibly efficient, completing 71% of his passes for 2,439 yards and 34 TDs.

47.[player_tooltip player_id='1939267' first='Brody' last='Joyce'] 6-2 180 QB Canby

UPDATED: Look for Canby to be one of the better teams at the 5A level in the years ahead. Joyce hit on 67% of his passes for 1,818 yards as a sophomore. The multi-sport standout has legit size and projects collegiately.

48.[player_tooltip player_id='1750438' first='Jeneral' last='Lewis'] 6-1 175 WR Central Catholic

UPDATED: Lewis should get his turn next season with CC graduating multiple talented athletes. He will project as one of the Mt Hood's breakout performers.

His film is impressive. CC is always loaded on the perimeter, but I could Lewis stepping in and doing well as a sophomore. His combination of size and ability after the catch is notable.

49.[player_tooltip player_id='1539446' first='Ryker' last='Rohaley'] 6-1 165 QB Sheldon

UPDATED: Rohaley stepped into a tough situation as a young QB and did very well for the Irish, completing 71% of his passes for 1,131 yards and 6 TDs/5 INTs.

50.[player_tooltip player_id='1611487' first='Nolan' last='Wolfe'] 6-4 205 QB Glencoe

UPDATED: Wolfe has great size and continues to climb the rankings board quickly. As a sophomore he passed for 885 yards and 12 TDs on a running team. He was an honorable mention all Pacific Conference selection.
