A fast-reacting, sure-tackling small-town defender who can really kill any particular drive, Stadler is a natural defender with great instincts and natural closing speed. He's not the biggest or fastest 2028 linebacker, but he was one of the top defenders in the region and really lit up the box score for a sophomore. The sleeper linebacker made an impressive 95 tackles last fall to go along with eight TFLs and four sacks. He plays hard, loves to compete, and should be even more productive as a junior in 2026

A promising young linebacker from Savannah who had a really strong sophomore season this fall, Young is another active defender who may lack ideal size, but still plays hard and closes quickly on the ball-carrier. He has a feel for the position, competes every play, and has a true nose for the ball. The 6-foot-0 190-pounder made 90 tackles this season with five TFLs and two sacks. He'll be an easy addition to the next Prep Redzone rankings and may be e potential "breakout" candidate in the Savannah area next year in the 2028 class. If he continues to work hard and develop in the off-season, Young could hit the 100-tackle mark and see his recruitment pick up down the road.

A strong athlete with great instincts on defense both against the run and in coverage, Nunn is a playmaker with a knack for finding the play. He's a tackling machine who can also make a play on the football down the field. He's a versatile weapon who consistently puts himself in a position to be around the play. He's a secure tackler, making 87 total stops with four TFLs, but he also has three INTs. He's a leader of the defense who should be one of the region's top defenders next year as a junior. Nunn is a Walton County player to keep a close eye on in 2026 who could see a rankings boost come his way in the spring update.

One of the top 2028 linebackers in North Georgia, Evans is still flying under the radar even as he's coming off a strong second season where he made 84 tackles and an impressive 12.5 TFLs. He also added two sacks, showing he can make big plays in the backfield while attacking the quarterback in the passing game. He does a good job of making a secure tackle in the open field and was one of the region's most consistent linebackers. As a sophomore, Evans played like a veteran and will be in a position to really impressive college coaches with an improved junior season in 2026. Evans' stock is rising and some D1 interest could come his way at some point down the road.

One of the top sleeper defenders across the state in the 2028 class, Lumpkin absolutely lived in the backfield last season as a sophomore, consistently making big plays behind the line of scrimmage. The 6-foot-0 190-pounder from Dallas, Georgia lit up the stat sheet on a weekly basis, making 80 total tackles, 26.5 TFLs and 3.5 sacks. He's smart, shows natural instincts, and does a good job of fighting off blocks and attacking down-hill. He's one of the region's top-returning defenders who could easily see some offers come his way in the spring and summer. Look for Lumpkin to see a boost in the next 2028 Prep Redzone update.
