Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A versatile, playmaking linebacker who plays fast and knows how to tackle, Nunn shows great instincts, burst, and the ability to close quickly on the ball-carrier. He’s active, disruptive, and one of the top 2028 linebackers in Walton County and the surrounding area. The promising defender is fresh off a strong sophomore season where he made 87 tackles, four TFLs, and one sack to go along with one INT, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. As good as he was in 2025, Nunn has a chance to be one of the region’s top defenders next fall as a junior if he continues to work hard and progress over the next eight months.

A strong athlete with great instincts on defense both against the run and in coverage, Nunn is a playmaker with a knack for finding the play. He’s a tackling machine who can also make a play on the football down the field. He’s a versatile weapon who consistently puts himself in a position to be around the play. He’s a secure tackler, making 87 total stops with four TFLs, but he also has three INTs. He’s a leader of the defense who should be one of the region’s top defenders next year as a junior. Nunn is a Walton County player to keep a close eye on in 2026 who could see a rankings boost come his way in the spring update.

, who popped on my radar this offseason. He was active in Walnut Grove’s 43-20 win over Discovery on both defense and special teams. He is a functional enough athlete, but it was his pursuit skills and energy that stood out to me. He made a tackle for a safety, flipped the field with an interception, and fell on a loose fumble, all on their side of the field. He not only made plays, but he also gave the offense short fields and helped generate points.

The 6’0 170 freshman RB/LB was a new name for me this week. A highly competitive kid that brings a lot of energy to the field. He made a couple of nice open field tackles and had a interception from his LB spot that was returned for a 70 yard TD only to be called back on a penalty away from the play.
Outlook: Nunn has a good frame and is just now starting to fill out and add size. Has good natural instincts and puts the work in off the field. Put him on your watch list as he good develop into next level prospect over the next 3 years at Walnut Grove.
