PJ Tautu named top 2028 Oregon prospect, headed to PRZ Showcase

Jordan Johnson and Andrew Nemec have released the Oregon class of 2028 updated rankings this week, and there have been some big shake-ups.

At the top of the board, Central Catholic defensive lineman PJ Tautu PJ Tautu 6'4" | 255 lbs | DL/OL Central Catholic | 2028 State OR is the No. 1 player in the state.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound two-way lineman was a first-team all-league selection and earned second-team all-state honors.

More importantly, Tautu projects as a potential Power 4 conference prospect, as he already holds offers from Oregon State and Portland State.

At No. 2 is Willamette quarterback Zeke Thomas Zeke Thomas 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Willamette | 2028 State OR , who is already performing at an all-state level and holds offers from Boise State and Sacramento State.

Rounding up the top five are Summit two-way lineman Peter Stanley Peter Stanley 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Summit | 2028 State OR , Lake Oswego wide receiver Presley DeLance Presley DeLance 6'4" | 225 lbs | WR/ATH Lake Oswego | 2028 State OR and Tualatin athlete Iden Rule Iden Rule 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB/LB Tualatin | 2028 State OR , who is dominating at running back in high school but may be a defensive prospect long-term.

Reigning champion West Linn graduated a ton of talent, but have already had several 2028s pop even on a loaded roster.

The Lions boast athlete Jake Hamper Jake Hamper 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH West Linn | 2028 State OR (7), athlete Tyler Holmes Tyler Holmes 6'1" | 200 lbs | ATH/LB West Linn | 2028 State OR (10), athlete Luke Cutting Luke Cutting 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB/ATH West Linn | 2028 State OR (17) and running back Cohen Bissell Cohen Bissell 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB West Linn | 2028 State OR (35).

Still, West Linn's young nucleus could climb significantly with increased exposure and a newly-cleared depth chart.
