The defensive back room looks loaded and will have fierce competition against some of the top wideouts in the state. We have kids in classes 2026-2029 competing in this room and again do not be surprised to see these DBS mixing in with the receiver group. Here is a breakdown of a few contenders for the DB MVP and Top Performers:

Ranked 53rd overall in our 2027 class, Courtland's [player_tooltip player_id='1202052' first='Chieftain' last='Watson'] has a great opportunity to showcase his talents on Saturday. Watson was a first team all district selection for both quarterback and defensive back, where I think he will get offers though is on defense. He is a dynamic safety that has a nose for the football, receivers are going to have a hard time getting open against him. A little surprised he has yet to receive any offers, I think in front of a contingent of coaches this weekend that is about to change.

[player_tooltip player_id='1303905' first='Aamir' last='Williams']

[player_tooltip player_id='1303905' first='Aamir' last='Williams'] is one of many stars for Loudoun Sports Academy set to attend and I expect him to be a top performer. Williams balls out both on the field and off the field, he was a stud last year. He will have an ample amount of wideouts including some of his teammates to face off with that should provide him with a challenge.

[player_tooltip player_id='1313358' first='Max' last='Fox']

Fox has done everything Herndon has asked him to do from managing their offense at quarterback to becoming a ball hawking safety. I expect the rising senior to compete like he has the past few seasons with the Hornets, [player_tooltip player_id='1313358' first='Max' last='Fox'] can play!

[player_tooltip player_id='1848670' first='Michael' last='Adon']

Big fan of Colonial Forge standout [player_tooltip player_id='1848670' first='Michael' last='Adon'] the rising senior is making a name for himself with a lot of college coaches. He had 4 interceptions last season in what proved to be a brutal schedule for the Eagles. Every week Adon was tasked with lining up against a dynamic receiver and all he did was respond with positives. Curious to see how he does in the testing portion Saturday, he has been working his tail off since the regular season ended.

[player_tooltip player_id='2043005' first='Bryce' last='Kenner']

Debuting for the first time in our 2028 rankings Forest Park [player_tooltip player_id='2043005' first='Bryce' last='Kenner'] is coming on strong. After a strong sophomore campaign where he nabbed 4 interceptions, Kenner debuted at 179th overall in this class. He is stout corner who will jam you at the line so the wideouts better be ready. I bet he does well in the 1vs1 portion, he was difficult for anyone to get open on this past fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1313660' first='Antonio' last='Monroe Jr.']

Hopewell's Antonio Monroe Jr, is another 2027 prospect that I expect to see get offer this offseason. The all region corner is set to attend coming off his outstanding junior season. How does he hold up going against the se elite receivers in the 1vs1s will be a good question. My bet is he comes out on fire and shows why he was first team all region at two different positions.
