Five 2027 Prospects Gaining Momentum on Recruiting Trail

<p>As college coaches hit the road and extend more offers during the contact period meeting with coaches and players, several prospects have seen some momentum begin to formulate on the recruiting trail for their offer lists.</p>   <p>These five rising seniors always had the Division One potential and that is becoming evident with the offers starting to trickle in for each one as college coaches get to see the current version of each player at their high schools.</p>   <p>Each of these five prospects went to exciting players flying under the radar to players with Power Four offers.</p>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rockvale 2027 Defensive Tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1815536' first='Jayden' last='Agberodiola']</h2>   <p>Rockvale defensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1815536' first='Jayden' last='Agberodiola'] emerged from having zero offers to having a handful of offers to his name. It all started with Maryland extending an offer while assistant Nick Newsome was on campus yesterday and he has since added offers from Marshall and Middle Tennessee as well.</p>   <p>The mid-state standout is a massive nose tackle, standing around 6-foot-3 and 340 pounds and he puts that overwhelming frame to use with a storng ability to disengage from blocks, which led to a strong 10.5 tackle for loss total as a junior. He generates strong pushback when he delivers his initial blow and as he refines some technique, that tackle for loss total could take a noticeable leap during his senior season.</p>   <p>He also displays intriguing athleticism at that size that has flashed at times, potentially offering more upside in the long-term. The athleticism was evident in moments during the season as he accounted for three sacks and even got an interception.</p>   <p>He is a raw prospect that will have to rework some of his body composition, but the long-term potential with Agberodiola is obvious and could be an intriguing nose tackle prospect for the next level and Maryland could have just let the secret out the bag.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JAgberodiola/status/2015854954141934066?s=20 </div></figure>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Knoxville Catholic 2027 Defensive Back [player_tooltip player_id='1260316' first='Loia' last='Valade']</h2>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1260316' first='Loia' last='Valade'] is one of the best defensive back prospects in the state of Tennessee and college coaches are beginning to figure that out after a very strong junior season at McCallie, showing out against the top competition in the state.</p>   <p>He has since transferred, but will remain competing at that high level for Knoxville Catholic, forming an absolute shutdown duo with [player_tooltip player_id='1029798' first='Xavier' last='Bowman'] for the Irish.</p>   <p>He is a tad undersized, but has a strong frame that comes with explosiveness, ball skills, and playmaking ability which gives him a well-rounded skillset that translates to the next level at the Power Four level. </p>   <p>The Kentucky staff identified his ability early and with those defensive coaches now at Florida, he added an offer from the Gators during the visit this week. As he turns to being a leader on his basketball team, his recruitment in football is beginning to take off.</p>   <p>Over the past couple months, he has added offers from a variety of schools including Arkansas, Duke, North Carolina State, and SMU. He also added an offer from Florida State following his visit for a junior day event this month.</p>   <p>As more and more programs find out about the versatile tight end prospect, Johnson is only going to keep adding more and more offers to his name. He has a well-rounded skillset that will keep him on the field in any situation and the practicality in the application of that skillset to be able to actually contribute in any situation. He has the size at 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds, the athleticism to make plays and the versatility to impact the game from all over the front four.</p>   <p>The potential with that skillset was obvious and Georgia could not leave his school without extending an offer. Maryland, Mizzou, Tennessee and Vanderbilt quickly sent offers to the standout as well.</p>   <p>Pauldo also shines as a tight end for Rockvale and he has even received interest for that position, showcasing his versatility on the football field.
