8 Breakout Tight Ends Trending Up This Offseason

There also just aren't a wide abundance of guys at that spot. However, the talent is there if you're willing to look for it, which is what I did. Two-way player who flashes the willingness to mix up with blockers on defense, something that will translate long-term to TE. He is quick out of his stance and a long, fluid mover in space. He had some flashes as a sophomore and broke out more as a junior. He is an athletic, but thick-bodied TE who is well along the line physically. He is a natural pass catcher with a nonchalant, smooth pace in his game. He is a natural mismatch with long strides and a large catch radius. He plays with good spatial awareness and is willing to get physical, both in his route and as a blocker. Certain fluid movements and initial quickness are still developing, but he can roll when he has room to build up, has a big catch radius, and looks the ball in through traffic. He is also willing to mix it up as a blocker. He is listed at 6'4 240, and carries that listed weight well. He is versatile, spending time lined up all over the field, even taking some reps in the backfield. I love how he leverages and engages blocks. He fights hard at the point of attack to take control. As a pass catcher, he is a downhill player who can roll in space.
