Here's the top stories for the state of Washington:

The final class of 2026 updated rankings provided a look at the top players in the state of Washington.

After five-star Kodi Greene's move to Mater Dei nearly two years ago, the No. 1 spot was left wide open.

Washington signee and Kennedy Catholic defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='402789' first='Derek' last='Colman-Brusa'] claimed the top spot.

After a whirlwind end to his recruitment, O'Dea defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='402788' first='David' last='Schwerzel'] also elected to stay home, bolstering the Huskies' front with in-state talent.

That's a good sign for a Washington program that has made major strides over the past year, but still needs to develop better D-line play to compete with the Big Ten's best.

In total, Washington signed 4 of the state's top 10 players, while Utah, Stanford, Wisconsin and Colorado signed one player each.

Oregon State inked two players, highlighted by Sumner running back [player_tooltip player_id='987161' first='Lance' last='McGee'], who put together a stellar playoff run to improve his stock in the final month of the season.

This list takes a look at the players who jump up the most in the final rankings.

Unsurprisingly, Sumner's [player_tooltip player_id='987161' first='Lance' last='McGee'] led the way.

After an historic playoff showing, McGee looks like an absolute steal for Oregon State in the 2026 class.

He has a chance to be a special back sooner rather than later.

Top Washington quarterbacks

Part 2

Washington has produced a ton of high-end quarterbacks over the years, and has a pair of bonafide bluechip stars at the top of the board in the future with Graham-Kapowsin's A.J. Tuivaiave (2028) and Lincoln's [player_tooltip player_id='1188085' first='Sione' last='Kaho'] (2027).

But a pair of other quarterbacks are quickly rising up the rankings.

Anacortes signal-caller [player_tooltip player_id='1428218' first='Ryan' last='Harrington'] (2027) and Skyline passer [player_tooltip player_id='1789793' first='Ben' last='Odom'] (2028) are both making an early splash and could climb significantly with big springs.

Beyond that, there's a nice collection of quarterbacks who could make a big jump before it's all said and done, including several 2029s worth keeping an early eye on.

FSP training camp awards

Ford Sports performance hosted a two-day training camp of some of its top 2027-2029 prospects.

Kennedy Catholic athlete Justyce Huff had a stellar showing at tight end and O'Dea lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1857585' first='Kyler' last='Harden'] led the way in the trenches.

But the overall MVP went to Puyallup's [player_tooltip player_id='2087218' first='Noah' last='Smith'], while Rainier Beach defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1733964' first='Daniel' last='Haynes'] earned the defensive back MVP.
