Tackle [player_tooltip player_id='914284' first='Gavyn' last='Welch'] of OC has an offer from D1 Valparaiso and 1st team all TRL lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1232749' first='Adam' last='Williams'] was a big reason Lake O won a state title and was dominant up front.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When looking at other O line guys with massive size there are a handful of other top prospects. [player_tooltip player_id='1311538' first='Zachery' last='Bridges'] is a 3x 1st&nbsp;team all-conference selection out of Sandy at 6-5 300 pounds. [player_tooltip player_id='1707740' first='Flynn' last='Collins'] of Jesuit was super impressive on both sides, earning 1st&nbsp;team all Metro honors, with 6-5 290-pound tackle Solomon Kroeger missing all of last year due to injury and breaking onto the scene during the Lakers title run.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>West Linn's [player_tooltip player_id='1110963' first='Aiden' last='Jakubauskas'] of West Linn is widely considered one of the top lineman in the state, with [player_tooltip player_id='1591972' first='LJ' last='Kyle'] of Lakeridge earning 1st&nbsp;team all TRL honors and being one of the top interior guys in Oregon. 5A standout [player_tooltip player_id='1341253' first='Cody' last='Calvert'] can play on either side of the ball but has excelled offensively being named a 2x 1st&nbsp;team all-conference pick.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At the RB position [player_tooltip player_id='1094961' first='Jordan' last='Hicks'] of Mountainside and [player_tooltip player_id='769989' first='Viggo' last='Anderson'] of West Linn were two of the top backs in the state, but both dealt with injuries. Hicks was a 2x 1st&nbsp;team all conference selection coming into season but only played 5 games scoring 8 TDs. [player_tooltip player_id='1110957' first='Heath' last='Thompson'] of Westview earned 1st&nbsp;team all Metro honors for the second season in a row, averaging 7.3 yards per carry with 14 TDs.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Reigning MWL Defensive POY [player_tooltip player_id='759688' first='Lukas' last='Babbitt'] was one of the most impressive players in Oregon, leading the state in rushing touchdowns with 27. He was one of the top two-way athletes in the NW.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1569373' first='Jakai' last='Phillips'] was as good as any back in the state, rushing for 1,430 yards and 21 TDs (8.7 ypc) during the regular season. He jumped 50+ spots on the rankings board and could be even higher. Speaking of Oregon's best backs [player_tooltip player_id='1232743' first='Daniel' last='Heninger'] was in the 6A POY conversation at the end of the season rushing for 2500+ yards and 29 TD's. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The receivers and athletes at the skill positions were plentiful with [player_tooltip player_id='1566148' first='Sean' last='Gerigk'] putting up 1st team all state numbers. He caught 58 balls totaling 1,445 all-purpose yards and 15 TDs, setting multiple school records.  [player_tooltip player_id='914291' first='MJ' last='Kennybrew'] of West Linn killed it as well, finishing with 32 catches for 682 yards and 10 touchdowns. [player_tooltip player_id='1110966' first='Trent' last='Dearborn'] of Tualatin was off the charts good also, earning 1st team all TRL accolades at WR, Safety, and Punter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1345172' first='Jarrett' last='Martin'] of Banks is ranked #51 overall and did his thing scoring 23 TD's every which way. [player_tooltip player_id='1585698' first='Justin' last='Larsen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='769997' first='Talen' last='Williams'] both had phenomenal seasons. Larsen went for 20+ TDs catching 65 passes for 961 yards with Williams being the primary reason Crook County was able to compete at the 5A level.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In conclusion, a few of the QB's who made a statement include [player_tooltip player_id='402397' first='Brison' last='Edwards'] of Lebanon who was named the 5A Oregon Offensive POY. [player_tooltip player_id='1110920' first='Parker' last='Sellner'] of Newberg will go down as one of the better players ever to come out of NHS being named a unanimous 1st&nbsp;team all conference selection, with Oregon City's [player_tooltip player_id='1673573' first='Kaeden' last='Emerson'] continuing to up his stock and passing for 16 TDs/2 INTs.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DEFENSE</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On the defensive front 6-5 225 pound DE [player_tooltip player_id='2070900' first='Avery' last='Ducsik'] has been one of the NW's breakout athletes, racking up 1st&nbsp;team TRL accolades. His teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1529840' first='James' last='Johnstone'] out of West Linn was an absolute menace coming off the edge and joined him on the 1st&nbsp;team. The Lions [player_tooltip player_id='769922' first='Zach' last='VandenBrink'] is one of the state's top two sport athletes but has had to consistently deal with injuries.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>DE [player_tooltip player_id='402396' first='Brennan' last='Mesa'] of South Albany is committed to Idaho St, with the Mt Hood featuring multiple standouts in 6-4 225-pound [player_tooltip player_id='1699759' first='Hudson' last='Coe'] of Central Catholic and Conference POY [player_tooltip player_id='1660150' first='Ian' last='Nix'] who was a man possessed all year totaling 10 sacks. [player_tooltip player_id='1110925' first='Alexander' last='Esuk'] of Sunset racked up 1st&nbsp;team all Metro honors for the second consecutive season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Talented LB's were numerous with the likes of D1 commit [player_tooltip player_id='1585714' first='Jackson' last='Skinner'] of Marist headed to play for Brown in the Ivy League. [player_tooltip player_id='402414' first='Kalani' last='Messenger'] of Lakeridge had another outstanding all conference season making 63 tackles with 6 TFL's and 2 INTs.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>6-3 205 pound OLB [player_tooltip player_id='1112461' first='Tyson' last='Walker'] was a unanimous 1st&nbsp;team all conference selection for the second year in a row. He is an appealing prospect with his size. [player_tooltip player_id='402410' first='Isaac' last='Reynoso'] of Glencoe was also a unanimous 1st&nbsp;team all Pacific Conference selection and a big reason the Crimson Tide had one of their best seasons in decades.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The IMC was loaded at the LB spot with [player_tooltip player_id='780468' first='Dylan' last='Hughes'] being a monster in the middle, racking up 68 tackles and 8 TFL's during the regular season. [player_tooltip player_id='1043374' first='Parker' last='Gibson'] of Redmond was a 1st&nbsp;team all conference selection for the 3rd&nbsp;year in a row, earning a preferred walk opportunity at Oregon St. Standout RB [player_tooltip player_id='1011382' first='Angel' last='Valenzuela'] also played a solid OLB/DE finishing with 9 sacks and 10 TFL's.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1110919' first='Liam' last='Tobin'] of Lake Oswego was listed as an all conference LB for the third year in a row and [player_tooltip player_id='1234384' first='Reece' last='Underwood'] of Tualatin followed up his breakout offseason by earning honorable mention all TRL accolades for the T Wolves. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two athletes in the secondary who stood out include [player_tooltip player_id='1232759' first='Cameron' last='Gilhuber'] who earned 1st&nbsp;team all South-Central honors, even with the team finishing 2-7 on the year. He allowed 2 receptions in 6 games. [player_tooltip player_id='1232760' first='Kai' last='Franco'] out of Mountainside was also outstanding, racking up 2nd&nbsp;team all Metro honors with 44 tackles, 3 INT's, and 13 PBU's to go with 3 offensive touchdowns.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p>
