PRZ Stock Up Showcase: Recap and Video

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>GRANTS</strong> – More than 60 prospects from throughout New Mexico – some of whom are headed to the next level - competed Saturday at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase at Grants High School on a glorious sunny and 65-degree day in northwestern NM. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always, the showcase began with testing. Universal Speeds Labs was there to assess the players in four events: 40-yard dash, broad jump, L-Drill and 5-10-15. At the end of camp, 2027 Sandia QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1594010' first='Jahleel' last='Lewis']</strong> and 2026 Grants DL <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='851894' first='Gary' last='Chavez']</strong> were named camp MVPs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Lewis recently wrapped up his second season as Sandia's starting quarterback, throwing for over 2,000 yards and 22 TD and rushing for over 350 yards and 7 TD. Lewis combines a rocket arm with an ultra-quick ball release, so receivers have to always be ready to catch the football. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Chavez is one of the state's strongest players and is a reigning champion in his weight class at the state powerlifting championships. He uses his incredible strength to overpower offensive linemen. But he is extremely quick as well, often using a lightning-fast spin move to elude his blocker. His rare combination of underrated quickness and brute strength allowed his to collect 26.5 tackles for loss, 14.0 sacks &nbsp;and 35.0 QB hurries in 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 'feel good' moment of the camp occurred towards the conclusion during the wrap-up meeting when the coaches offered their thoughts.
