When it comes to getting exposure, every athlete in Florida relished the opportunity to get their respective names out.

As the 2025 season officially came to an end last Saturday night with the state playoffs winding down, we are now looking back on the competitive season by giving the prospects statewide attention for what they accomplished.

No matter what year or what classification that competed at, it is out pleasure to get those prospects some attention so colleges and universities, who may have missed what these young men did this season, another chance to see their many accomplishments and check out their video link from the season.

Today, like we have the past few weeks, and will continue to do through the New Year, we bring you 10 football players to check out to see what they did this past season.

2026 – [player_tooltip player_id='1895320' first='Cortland' last='Brownfield'], QB, 6'2, 210, Fort Lauderdale Westminster Academy – 3.6 GPA. It took a few years, but this impressive talent found a home this past season and more than had the opportunity to showcase some amazing skills. Setting school records and giving his program a boost all year, his 3,500 yards, 37 touchdowns and eye-popping leadership was something that college coaches needed to check out. This is a prospect that you get on campus and question how he flew so far under the radar screen. Bounced back from an injury as a junior to have a banner final year. This is someone we will revisit in the future!

2027 – Chase Burrill, QB, 6'0, 190, St. Petersburg Catholic. Talk about a monster season for this team and this quality junior who put up video numbers while leading the Baron to an amazing season. His 3,670 yards passing was easily among the best in the state. Add in a mind-boggling 53 touchdowns and only four interceptions and you have a year that will be remembered for a lifetime.

2029 – Tyrese Jefferson, RB/Athlete, 6'0, 162, Melbourne – 3.8 GPA. When any freshman gets a chance to play at the varsity level, all you can do is hope that the athlete in question is mature enough to handle the ups and downs of playing with and against prospects with more experience and maturity. What this impressive talent did in his first season at this level was turn heads with 110 carries for 798 yards and 15 touchdowns, catch 21 balls for 319 yards and three scores, piling up over 1,700 all-purpose yards and showcasing his amazing skills for the future.

2028 – Evan Larrick, WR, 6'1, 175, Sarasota. When the season came to an end and the Sailors were not part of the post season many players and coaches felt that their goals were not met, and that is understandable. But with prospects like this young man, playing in just eight games (three missed to injury), he did catch 33 passes for over 500 yards and three touchdowns. What he did accomplish was to set the bar high and prepare himself for the off-season and his junior year, which will go a long way in elevating his play for the 2026 season.

2026 – [player_tooltip player_id='212270' first='Mason' last='Mallory'], QB, 6'2, 200, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas – 4.4 GPA. When he left West Boca Raton after his junior season and winning the school's first ever state football title, many questioned why this gifted talent was on the move. Last week, that question was answered when he completed a rare accomplishment of winning two state titles – with difference schools. What he did to left the nationally rated Raiders this season was give that impressive program an amazing seventh straight state title – with 3,084 all-purpose yards (2,329 passing yards) with 32 touchdowns (23 passing) for a 67 percent completion rate.

2029 – Amarian McRae, Athlete, 6'1, 165, Sarasota Cardinal Mooney – 3.8 GPA. When you win a state title like the Cougars did last week against Jacksonville Bolles in 2A, you look at every player who wears a uniform on that team and counting on a freshman this season to make an impact only points to a bright future for this player and program. In 12 games, he had 34 tackles (17 solo), three interceptions, 18 passes broken up and two fumble recoveries – all helping during this banner season and the school's second ever state football title.

2027 – Bradley Raub, DL, 6'1, 255, Orlando Bishop Moore – 3.75 GPA. It was indeed a magical season for the Hornets, and while they would have loved to finish the job, reaching the 3A state semifinals, prospects like this underclassman showed exactly why this will be a program to continue to keep an eye on during the off-season and into the 2026 campaign. His 85 total tackles and 20 tackles for loss came up big during a competitive season. He also added 10 sacks and came up with a fumble recovery and was a huge part of the success of this football team.

2026 – [player_tooltip player_id='1628903' first='Omari' last='Russell'], DB/WR, 6'1, 190, Fort Meade – 3.8 GPA. If you have followed high school football over the past four years this is a name that you heard over and over again. One of the state's elite prospects who has been around this game all of his life. While his senior statistics included 52 tackles (29 solo), five tackles for loss, five interceptions and two forced fumbles, it his body of work throughout his career that shows what he is all about. How about 204 tackles (117 solo), 32 tackles for loss, 10 forced fumbles and a school record 28 interceptions.

2026 – Joshua Silverstein, LS, 6'2, 255, West Boca Raton – 3.5 GPA. While we tend to overlook special teams performers, keep in mind that they are just as important as any other member of a football program. Kickers, punters and long snappers in this state have earned their way on to collegiate rosters every year, and when you watch this four year varsity performer, you can see why he has been rated as one of the best in the nation. With multiple scholarship offers, he was a perfect 34 of 34 on punt snaps, 59 of 59 on field goal snaps and was also a force on punt coverage, forcing 10 fair catches and even had one solo tackles and two assists.

2027 – Jamarcus Tanner, DE/OLB, 6'3, 215, Apopka – 3.5 GPA. While it was a tough season for the Blue Darters – certainly not what this school has become used to over the decades – there were several gifted football players who stepped up and more than did their part, setting the table for the 2026 season. This junior finished the year with nine sacks, 46 tackles (13 solo) and forced two fumbles. He will be one of those talented players everyone will want to keep an eye on during the upcoming off-season.
