Is OLB an option for him in this one? As a writer attempting to eval from a far, I'm a bit in the dark on all things Kinzie. That being said, no fault to the current freshman, of course. A freshmen season that saw Gibson working on Varsity at wideout and defensive back. Was recently featured in a PRZ Florida piece that provided film eval notes, a section in which Gibson was included. Gibson will be suited up representing Underdog Mentality. A track sprinter, from what I can tell on both tape and in Twitter clips, the track speed certainly translates. Likely a future 7v7 Top Performer. The type of talent that could easily work with among the 18U bracket. Taking a peek into his freshman tape, I see Gibson working all three levels of the field, a sign of trust that Gibson is called upon to run nines, out-routes and digs, as well as hitches and pop-screens at the LOS. Love the willingness to tackle on tape. Most of reps come via what looks like JV ball yet I could be completely wrong. His UM coaching staff made sure to highlight him as a player to watch, however. I'll certainly trust that Varnadoore has what it takes to wow writers and media present working as a boundary corner for UM this coming weekend.
