Last but not least, we kick into the wide receivers and tight ends that made waves at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen. This will be one of two pieces we finalize today covering the "best we saw" amongst those two groups.

A 2029 tight end name that caught my attention in Aberdeen came from Lennox's [player_tooltip player_id='1747078' first='Maximus' last='Allie']. He is currently on our watchlist in the South Dakota 2029 class, but was one of the more fluid underclassmen tight ends that I found at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase especiallay as a route-runner. He also showed off from an upside perspective a long body type that probably isn't done growing yet as he has a well-put together lower body. Surely one tight end you could see rising to our 2029 rankings here very soon.

Cooper was signed up on the other side of the ball, but yet impressively came away as one of our top performers amongst the wide receiver group at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen. He was one of the first wide receivers to catch my attention, as I liked how agile he was with his change of direction for his size as it was evident in watching him as a route-runner that he could seperate from the defensive backs. I had him orginally graded as a running back, but as you can tell that Cooper has a plethora of position flexibility on both sides of the ball as one that I could see as a slot-receiver as his best fit. He also was third out the 120+ athletes in the pro shuttle with a 4.37.

Tyrel was an interesting new name I learned about from our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase a couple Sundays ago out of Harding County. I caught wind of him during testing, in which watching his broad jump you could tell that Tyrel has plenty of athleticism pent up with explosiveness that has plenty left to give from an upside persepctive in this 2028 class. He ran a 4.7 falt 40-yard dash, 4.41 in the pro shuttle, 8'7 broad jump, and 7.15 in the L-drill in which Tyrel saw some of his testing numbers make our national leaderboard with Universal Speed Rating after the showcase last week. I only saw glimpes of what Tyrel could do as a route-runner, but I like the upside this young has has to show with two more years of high school football under his built.

Ayms I had graded as a quarterback in our last 2027 rankings update and was one at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase that I felt has plenty of position flexibility especiallly at the wide receiver position which he showed off in Aberdeen a couple Sundays ago. This is the first time I have seen live reps of Ayms at wide receiver and what I witnessed is a prospect that seems to have a higher bar of upside in that position. The 6'3 185 pounder showed off impressive length off the eye-test, and knew how to utilize that length when I watched him in Indy and 1v1s and still has room to grow as a wide receiver. With the size profile and huge upside, look for Ayms to be a riser up our 2027 ND board.

Elias finished in my top-tier when it came down to the wide receiver group in the live eval as there were plenty of skillsets that popped out at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen. His change of direction was no joke early, as he ran a 6.98 L drill to start his day. Elias was also quite impressive with his hands as with all that change of direction at his disposal, he was able to get sound seperation and brought in some tough high traffic area receptions that also a good handful showed off how athletic this young man is when he is setting up around the ball. He shows off a smooth burst off the snap and was one of the purest finishers as a route-runner in the entire wide receiver group. Surely one that is climbing the 2027 SD radar quickly.
