With our region's first significant snowfall imminent and looming, I was back on the grind. On Saturday, December 13, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Warwick, New York as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.

I am not sure what I missed. Maybe it was the tail-end of his reps that I caught; maybe I was just sleeping on the kid. Whatever it might have been, my biggest regret from this camp was not getting the chance to get a closer look at [player_tooltip player_id='1987620' first='Vladimir' last='Doricent']. Doricent, a 2026 graduate, just always seemed to find ways to get open. No matter what the route or depth, Doricent appeared to be making uncontested catches all over the field... [player_tooltip player_id='2057204' first='Zaire' last='Jacklyn'] was one of the more twitchy prospects I got a look at. Jacklyn certainly made it look like he could jump into a second-story window with how he got up for the ball. That fast-twitch muscle fibers were also evident in how he appeared to burst out of his stance. Without looking back, I would venture to saw he had strong combine results. Lastly, on comeback-type routes, Jacklyn had the presence of mind to come back to the ball, aggressively seeking it into his possession in order to put in that work.

One of the better route runners in attendance was Jake Fruscio. During indy I noticed how Fruscio made sharp cuts around the cone, never to round them. This same skillset translated to his route running ability, where his razor-like breaks created space for himself. Additionally, Fruscio showed that he can adjust to the ball well. One particular rep that impressed me was where I saw him extend across and behind his body in order to come up and make a play on a bad ball... If I had to pinpoint one prospect who benefited in terms of improvement from attending, it was [player_tooltip player_id='2079861' first='Austin' last='Lanera']. A rising junior, Lanera's performance improved with each passing rep of his that I watched. With a young, lanky frame, here is plenty to work with and build on physically. One thing I caught, late, was that Lanera is excited to run with the ball. Rightfully so; however, he needs to secure the ball before making his move.

I typically do not engage or coach prospects in attendance up, but toward the end I could not help myself after watching one of Gio Bowley's final reps. Earlier on, I admired how Bowley was able to adjust to high balls that came in hot. He also did a great job of exclusively using his hands to catch the ball, while also extending out to reach for it. However, on a curl route I saw him wait for the ball to arrive. This gave the defensive back time to close and compete for it. I just had to remark to Bowley that the ball is best in his hands. He is a playmaker and a dude. Get the ball and get it now! Attack it when it is up for grabs!
