New Jersey Stock Up Showcase: Positional MVP Notes, Part IV

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After a day or two to say "thanks," I was back on the grind. On Saturday, November 29, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Jackson, New Jersey as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Butler was the best edge/defensive end prospect in attendance. Still just in his sophomore season, Butler had great size and solid technique to match. Coming off the edge he showcased a great deal of speed and hand usage. Knowing how to leverage his physical assets, Butler utilizes the long arm exceptionally well, complimenting it with his speed. However, when Bulter combines these two traits, he is deadly. The way Smith opened, turned, and broke to the shoulder of the quarterback was as if the two were tied together by a string. In run defense, Smith read the ball carriers' hips extremely well, failing to ever get juked. However, in the case of Dominic Prestano, it is a good thing. Prestano's runs looked nearly identical, indicating to me that he is methodical, disciplined, and runs his track. Also showing a burst of acceleration at times, Prestano will take angles when he seems them and is a bit shifty in open space.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1514622"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6933272a5d209"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Simply put: [player_tooltip player_id='1514622' first='Nyzier' last='Matthews'] was the best prospect in attendance. Matthews was, physically, a man amongst boys. Technique-wise, he ran all his routes with low, outstanding pad level through all phases of them. When either cutting and breaking off the stem of his routes, Matthews sank his hips and directionally was sharp.
