New Additions To The 2027 Indiana Class Rankings

The 2027 class is entering their senior year, and the spotlight is now on them! Today, we're taking a look at 5 recruits added to the 2027 Indiana class rankings.    Lawson is a powerful run blocker who is out of his stance quickly. He's got a strong core that helps him gain leverage. He can get to the second level in the running game and help spring that key block down the field. He comes from a triple-option offense, so his pass protection is a bit raw, but with how good he is in the running game, I feel pretty confident the upside is there in pass pro as well.     Omondi is tucked away up in Tippecanoe Valley, but he's a 2-way player with upside on both sides of the ball. He's productive and seemingly never comes off the field. He carried the ball 39 times this year for 393 yards and 4 TDs. He added 16 grabs for 220 yards in the receiving game while starting 10 games on defense, where he put up 77 total tackles, 5 TFLs, 5 interceptions, and 5 passes deflected. He's got a good nose for the football and seems to be in the right place at the right time to create turnovers.     Winkle came out and started the season hot before an injury cut his season short, but through the 6 games he played, he showed a ton of potential and made play after play. He's a good athlete who can wrap up in the open field and has the strength to hold on. He is disciplined and plays gaps properly. He put up 48 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, and 2.5 sacks in just those 6 games.     Sauder has stepped in on the second level for the Lions and has been good anytime he's been out there. He missed the middle of the season with an injury, but came right back and was the same player before the injury, and finished the year strong. He's got good range and vision in the second level. He can get off blocks and put pressure on the QB in the backfield. His 36 tackles in 7 games don't quite tell the full story of who Sauder is and what he brings to the table.     Gammons is a true interior rusher who can eat up blocks and create havoc in the backfield. He's got much stronger hands than people anticipate at the point of attack. He can throw offensive linemen around with ease at times. He's got a motor that doesn't stop and is one of those guys you feel like you can trust out on the field. He was constantly forcing the QB to step up or move out of the pocket and change his vision. While I don't have his statistics to look at, I can tell you he's productive down in and down out. He's a smart player with good instincts who is on track to help a program on Saturdays.
