He is quick to read-and-react, makes great open-field tackles and is a good lateral mover. Good tackler in space. Recorded 65 total tackles and one sack last season.

Sauder has stepped in on the second level for the Lions and has been good anytime he’s been out there. He missed the middle of the season with an injury, but came right back and was the same player before the injury, and finished the year strong. He’s got good range and vision in the second level. He can get off blocks and put pressure on the QB in the backfield. His 36 tackles in 7 games don’t quite tell the full story of who Sauder is and what he brings to the table.
