CFI Carolinas Showcase Top Wide Receivers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Charlotte Football Insiders (CFI) Winter Showcase hosted over 170 players from the Carolinas and beyond this past Saturday at Rocky River High School. Three players from the showcase received offers so far, and a lot of great talent was on hand at all positions in attendance. We'll start looking at some of that talent in a series of articles analyzing these players. With his size, Dorian has no choice but to be a playmaker, and he consistently showed that in his senior year. You can see that Xavier is on the cusp of really breaking out into being a special "X" type of receiver on the outside. I thought he was probably the most complete receiver in attendance here. The Queen City Senior Bowl selection repeatedly beat defensive backs over the top with a nice combination of speed and excellent releases off of the line of scrimmage. The fact that he placed as a top receiver here was really impressive and speaks to him as an overall athlete. But Selassie is a fast player who was running away from defensive backs consistently all day long. Elijah was impressive in his route running, and he appears to have grown physically since I saw him mid season for Berry. Elijah has some very good deep speed and knows how to win with leverage in his route running. He projects as a slot receiver on the next level who can run block on early downs then can go make catches that can move the chains on 3rd down.
