#1 Washington squares off with #6 Oklahoma Christian School with a spot in the state championship game on the line. Both teams come into this week at 11-1 and have the firepower to punch their ticket to Edmond but only one team can do that. For Washington, this is another trip to the semifinal and they are one win away from their sixth consecutive trip to the state championship game. They've won their last three and until someone knocks them off, you have to consider the Warriors the favorites in 2A-1. Ever since their close call against Marlow in week seven, this team has been dominating opponents. And then you have an OCS squad that has been playing lights out all season on both sides of the ball. They went on the road and took down Metro Christian in the quarterfinals and the only loss this year came in week nine to Jones. They are a win away from punching their ticket to the state title game for the first time since they won it all in 2012. Both teams come into this week with plenty of momentum.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='473879' first='Case' last='Alexander'] has been a huge part of the last two state championship runs for the Warriors. Whether it's been as one of the leaders on the defense or an emerging weapon on offense, Alexander has routinely produced and he typically elevates his game when the playoffs begin. Alexander and the Warriors are hungry to make it back to the state championship game. Now, he and the Washington defense will face a tough challenge against OCS and their high-powered passing attack. But if Alexander can get into the backfield, cause chaos and make life miserable for the OCS passing game, they should be in a good position Friday.

At the start of this season, we didn't know much about senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1831822' first='Creighton' last='Allen'] but that didn't last long. And maybe we shouldn't be surprised that OCS had another signal caller that could sling it all over the field. Allen has been outstanding for the Saints this season and he might have flown under the radar earlier in the year but it's been firmly established that he's one of 2A-1's best signal callers. He's going up against a Washington defense that does a good job of limiting what the quarterback can do. Allen won't back away from the challenge He's shown the ability to perform at a high level against the toughest competition.

#2 Jones will face #4 Marlow on Friday night with a spot in the state title game on the line. Both teams are two of the "blue bloods" of this class so the fact that they are in the semifinals shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. When it comes to the Longhorns, you can make the argument that Jones has been the top team in 2A-1 all season and they might be the true team to beat in this class. Now, they need to take care of business on Friday night in order to punch that ticket to the title game and back up that claim. But they're the last remaining unbeaten team and they've won all their games this season by double digits. However this is a very familiar position for Marlow coming into this week. The Outlaws have only one loss this season and that was to defending champion Washington. Marlow is used to being in this position at this time of the year. While it's a small storyline, it should be noted that Marlow lost to Millwood in double overtime in the semifinal round last year and the game was at Noble. This is an opportunity to exercise those demons.

If you can make the argument that Jones has been the best team in Class 2A-1 this season, you can make the argument that senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1179996' first='Acyn' last='Hansen'] has been the best player in the class. And this isn't just a "starting quarterback on the best team" award. Look at his body of work this season. He's one of the more efficient quarterbacks in the state from a passing perspective but he's also a terrific athlete and has burned opposing defenses with his legs on countless occasions. This is going to be a fun match-up because Hansen has not really been contained this season but he's going against a very physical and relentless defense Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1716143' first='Hudson' last='Morgan'] - Senior Running Back

Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1716143' first='Hudson' last='Morgan'] might be going to the next level to play baseball at Oklahoma State but he has been one of the more underrated running backs in Class 2A-1 over the last two seasons. This year, it's seemed like he's been a one-man wrecking crew at times for the Outlaw offense. They are one win away from making it back to the state championship game and you know that Morgan will be a vital part of their offensive game plan. One of the best ways to defend the Jones offense is to keep them on the sidelines. Morgan and the Outlaws chewing up yards and clock will be one way to do that on Friday night.
