We're underway with updates after dropping the final Class of 2026 rundown earlier this month on the site.

The process never stops, really. It's a constant pursuit of new names to evaluate.

Today, that takes us to the Iowa 2027 Class. It's an important time for this group of seniors-to-be searching for college homes.

Here's a closer look at new evaluations for student-athletes in the cycle:

Druschel was a three-phase contributor for Vinton-Shellsburg during the 2025 campaign. The junior caught 13 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown, and averaged 12.7 yards on three kick returns. He did his best work on defense, however. Druschel registered 16.5 tackles, 14 of which were of the solo variety. He intercepted three passes and was credited with a pass defended. When we pop on his 11th-grade highlight video, there's a member of the secondary with a great feel for the position. The Vikings line him up in different locations of the formation thanks to his athleticism and versatility. Druschel is smooth in his back pedal and in changing directions. Speed also is an important part of his game.

Wilken took a step forward with his play during the 2025 season. The junior completed almost 60 percent of his throws for 929 yards and eight touchdowns against four interceptions. He added 88 yards on the ground, and flashed potential on defense, where five of his 5.5 tackles were solo stops. Wilken is a good all-around athlete that's needed at quarterback by the Raptors. He could very well keep developing for the next level at that position as someone with a smooth throwing motion and ability to push the ball downfield without much effort. While not a dual-threat signal caller, Wilken can make plays with his legs. If things don't work out behind center, he could switch positions thanks to athleticism and physicality.

I first saw Meeks when he was performing at the Back2Ballin 7 on 7 tournament in Cedar Falls last spring. He impressed me with his skill set and comfortability at quarterback. Meeks followed up a strong offseason with a fine fall at Lisbon. The Lions leaned on his running prowess. He led them in rushing yards (598) and rushing touchdowns (4). Meeks threw a scoring pass and caught three balls for 25 yards. Nineteen of his 27.5 tackles were solo stops, and he contributed a pair of tackles for loss. Meeks averaged 26.5 yards on 16 kick returns, bringing one of them back to the house. He averaged 13.2 yards on four punt returns. Meeks proves during his junior highlight video to be a prospect that could develop into a college quarterback with the speed and athleticism to succeed at another position.

It's easy to get lost in the sea of college football prospects when playing in the ultra successful Southeast Polk program. Oberbroeckling slips through the cracks of recognition at times but is a solid prospect for the next level. His frame is projectable, meaning there's room for filling out with good weight without the loss of the athleticism and agility that make his upside intriguing. We can witness that when watching his junior highlight video. Oberbroeckling relays defensive calls and delivers physicality as an active middle linebacker. As an 11th-grader, he came up with 31.5 tackles, 18 of which were solo stops. Oberbroeckling posted 3.0 tackles for loss, a sack, an interception and a pair of fumble recoveries.

Unity Christian received key contributions from Breen in all three phases during the 2025 season. The junior caught 34 balls for 464 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He recorded 15.0 tackles, 11 of which were solo stops. Breen posted a tackle for loss as well. He averaged 21.4 yards on 13 kick returns. Breen flashes a broad set of skills during his 11th-grade highlight video. He's comfortable lining up on the outside and making plays down the sideline or taking off down the seam from the slot to burn defenses. As a cornerback, Breen back pedals smoothly and quickly changes directions. He jumps well and has closing speed.

Kuemper Catholic enjoyed one of the most dominant seasons in all classifications during 2025. The Knights logged an unbeaten season in winning a Class 2A championship. Glynn was a integral part of the operation, leading Kuemper in receptions (56) and receiving yardage (1,013), and his 11 touchdowns tied for a team high. On the other side of the ball, he delivered 42.0 tackles with 29 of them being solo stops. Glynn registered a tackle for loss, a sack and five interceptions. He averaged 42.6 yards on seven kick returns, taking a pair of them back to the house. We see Glynn getting the job done during his junior highlight video. His an impressive combination of size, speed, athleticism and physicality that could work at multiple positions on the next level.
