The 2028 class is starting to fill up with more talent. Today, we want to hit you with some more players who need to be on your radar. Let's check it out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1178285' first='Travion' last='Washington']

Washington had a great year this past season. He recorded over 100 tackles this season. Washington is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound player with a big motor on defense. He was our linebacker for our Winter Showcase in Jackson, Mississippi this past weekend. Washington is an aggressive player when defending the run. He is also an athletic linebacker who knows how to cover on defense. If I am a coach, I do not want him in coverage, I want him stopping the run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581425' first='Ty'jah' last='Brown']

Brown is a defensive lineman from Lake Cormorant who started catching our attention as a junior varsity player. Brown is a 6-foot-4, 250-pound young man who has been getting better and better. He holds multiple power four offers. Brown does a good job of getting off and getting a great push on offensive linemen. We think he could do a better job of using his hands, but his presence in the trenches cannot be denied.

[player_tooltip player_id='1647223' first='Hampton' last='Smith']

Smith was a general in Brookhaven's state title victory over West Point. Smith is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound young man who is mean against the run. He absolutely loves contact. Those are the kind of linebackers you want on your team. He plays the game the old school way. Smith loves good downhill contact that comes after shedding blocks. We think that he is going to be an inside linebacker on the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1006384' first='Tyson' last='Hunter']

We have Hunter listed as a running back because of his younger days as a junior varsity player, but this past season, he got his shine on at linebacker. That is what helped him move up into the top ten of the rankings. We feel like he is a player who was stout on defense for his team. Hunter is able to be a factor in their running game, but his dynamic athleticism helped their coaches do a lot of different things on defense. Hunter is a player from Tupelo.

[player_tooltip player_id='1036605' first='Trace' last='Wilson']

Ice Tray is what we like to call him. Wilson is a 6-foot, 180-pound young man who can play a lot of different positions, but we think that he is going to be a safety on the next level. Wilson has the ability to catch interceptions and take them to the house. We witnessed that in their game versus Brandon. Wilson also has some good speed.
