Week 12 – Teams Get Ready For The Playoffs

As the regular season came to an end last week, football programs across the state will have this week to rest and get ready for the state playoffs that will begin next week.
With FIU's Pitbull Stadium in Miami once again the destination for this year's 1A-7A state championships, programs will find out their path to getting there this Thursday when the pairings will be announced.
While the year has gone by quickly, several programs realized the goals they set after the 2024 season came to an end – while others fell short.
With all that in mind, here is a look at this week's Prep Redzone Florida's top programs:
1 Bradenton IMG Academy (Independent, 9-0). The Ascenders continued to dominate with a 31-13 win in New Jersey against the Hun School. THIS WEEK: 11/7 – Baltimore St. Frances Academy.
2. Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas (5A, 9-1). The Raiders beat No. 9 Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna in a battle of two defending state champions, 27-21. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
3. Miami Northwestern (3A, 9-0). The Bulls were off for the final week of the regular season. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
4. Seffner Armwood (6A, 10-0). The Hawks finished the regular season unbeaten with a convincing 49-7 win against Riverview. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
5. Jacksonville Raines (3A, 9-0). The Vikings ended the regular season unbeaten with a 57-0 win against Jacksonville Atlantic Coast, registering their fourth shutout of the season. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
6. Miami Central (3A, 7-1). The Rockets came alive in the fourth quarter to beat longtime rival Miami Carol City, 23-6. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
7. Orlando Edgewater (5A, 10-0). The Eagles wrapped up an unbeaten regular season with a 28-7 win against previously unbeaten Orlando Boone. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
8. Vero Beach (7A, 10-0). The Indians ended the regular season unbeaten with a convincing 43-0 victory over Pembroke Pines Somerset Academy. stayed unbeaten with a 49-0 win against Port St. Lucie Treasure Coast. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
9. Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna (1A, 7-2). The Lions dropped a 27-21 decision to No. 2 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas to end the regular season and get ready for a state record ninth trip to the state championship game. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
10. Sarasota Booker (3A, 9-1). The Tornadoes ended the regular season with a 21-9 win against Sanford Seminole. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
11. Jacksonville Bolles (2A, 9-1). The Bulldogs ended the regular season with a 31-0 win against Lake City Columbia. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
12. Sarasota Cardinal Mooney (2A, 9-1). The Cougars remained one of the hottest teams in the state with a regular season-ending 55-7 win against Dover Specialty Fit Academy for their eighth straight win.

13. Miami Southridge (6A, 9-1). The Spartans ended the regular season with a 48-3 victory against Homestead South Dade. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
14. Fort Lauderdale Dillard (4A, 10-0). The Panthers finished the regular season unbeaten with their seventh shutout of the year, 56-0, against Deerfield Beach. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
15. Orlando Jones (4A, 8-2). The Tigers won for the sixth straight time, posting their third consecutive shutout, 28-0, against Ocoee. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
16. Tampa Jesuit (4A, 9-1). The Tigers continued to dominate as they beat Tampa Catholic, 45-7, outscoring the opposition in the regular season, 451-79. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
17. Gainesville Buchholz (6A, 9-1). In winning for the eighth straight time, the Bobcats traveled south and beat 1A power No. 28 West Palm Beach Cardinal Newman, 34-30. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
18. DeLand (7A, 9-0). Remained unbeaten with a 54-7 win against Lakeland Lake Gibson. THIS WEEK: 11/4 (TODAY) – @Port Orange Spruce Creek. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
19. West Boca Raton (6A, 8-2). The defending state champion Bulls ended the regular season with a dominating road win against previously unbeaten No. 29 Delray Atlantic, 31-14. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
20. Tampa Gaither (5A, 9-1). The Cowboys remained hot with a regular season-ending 64-6 win against Tampa Hillsborough for their ninth straight victory. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
21. Venice (7A, 6-3). The Indians were off this past week as they prepare to defend their state championship. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
22. Orlando The First Academy (Independent, 5-5). It has been a very competitive season for the Royals, playing some of the top teams nationally, and they ended the year with a huge victory on the road against No. 23 Lakeland, 35-28.
23. Lakeland (5A, 8-2). The Dreadnaughts have played a very competitive schedule and lost a heartbreaker to No. 22 Orlando The First Academy, 35-28. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
24. Jacksonville Mandarin (6A, 9-1). One of the big surprises this season, the Mustangs upset previously unbeaten No. 25 St. Augustine St. Augustine FL on the road, 27-21. THIS WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
25. Saint Augustine (4A, 9-1). The Yellow Jackets lost for the first time – at home – against No. 24 Saint Augustine, 27-21. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
26. Clearwater Central Catholic (1A, 8-2). The Marauders ended the regular season with a dominating 49-7 win against Gulfport Boca Ciega. had the week off. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
27. Zephyrhills (4A, 10-0). The Bulldogs ended the regular season with a thrilling 49-48 win against Port Charlotte an showed why they have been one of the best teams all year. NEXT WEEK: State Playoffs, TBA.
