St. Michael's 40, Robertson 6

St. Michael's won its 30th straight game Saturday with a 40-6 victory over rival Robertson in Santa Fe. The Horsemen, who sealed the District 3A-2 crown, now own the third longest winning streak in state history behind only Gadsden (34 games, 1952-56) and Animas (69 games, 1985-90). But the win wasn't as easy as the final score indicates. St. Michael's led, 19-6, in the third period before scoring the final three touchdowns to pull away from the Cardinals. Horsemen QB [player_tooltip player_id='1600843' first='Kamal' last='Stith'] set a new school record for most touchdowns in a single season with 31. Two-way standout [player_tooltip player_id='1155019' first='Ryan' last='Hunt'] caught a pair of TD passes. [player_tooltip player_id='853063' first='Isaiah' last='Dominguez'] was, as always, a key sparkplug for the St. Michael's offense. The physical and aggressive Horsemen stymied the Robertson offense most of the afternoon.
