He is going to be a very nice late steal for them and has the size, fluidity and natural ball skillIs/IQ to play on either side of the ball at the next level. He can stretch the field, create seperation over the top and is a physical pass catcher with natural hands and route running abilities. Defensively, he is a highly instinctual player that drops down into the box and closes quickly while playing physical on the perimeter and a excellent open field tackler. He has tight mechanics, gets the ball out quick and on time with a tight spiral and snappy release and does a nice job navigating the picket while keeping his eyes downfield and is able to take off and run if need be. He has thrown for 2,600 yards and almost 30 touchdowns, while adding another 2 scores on the ground. He is a compact runner that has natural forward lean, leg drive through contact and bounces off arm/ankle tackles while always falling forward and having deceptive short area twitch in traffic. Hernandez had another strong showing on Friday night in the final regular season game rushing for 230+ yards and 5 touchdowns and was rumbling through the Lincoln defense the entire night. He is a twitchy and elusive runner that can break away in the clear, make defenders miss in space and runs tough for his size inside and has good vision and cutback abilities against flow. He shows lateral twitch and start/stop abilities through the first level and is tough to bring down with start/stop abilities and contact balance. With still two years left in his prep career, he is a key name to note amongst '28 players in the bay and should finish strong for Northgate. He is a long strider that can stretch the field, has a big catch radius and strong hands when making contested catches and can track well over the top while on the run. After the catch he is tough to bring down and is a strong runner that forces poor angles and missed tackles with some wiggle and lateral agility and shows he is a diverse route runner that can beat both man or zone coverage.
