Tanner is our current QB4 in the 2027 SD class and do I expect him to be a riser in this class? I cemrtainly do. He certainly has amped up his arm strength from his junior season tape and the accuracy I have seen on those deep throws is another step upwards that Tanner has made. The elusive out of the pocket is antoher upwards spark that Tanner has made as he'll look to bring a state championship home to Wall this week in 9A.

Talk about a defensive back that should be an easy mover up our 2027 SD board at defensive back, you all should peak the tape of Mobridge-Pollock quickly. This young man is not only a flyer to the football in pass coverage, but the amount of athleticism he shows off is blazing when he gets air to find the football. The instincts he has are evident, and although I have him graded as an athlete, the production in the secondary points easily as a defensive back at the next-level.

A tight end that should move up our 2027 board in South Dakota appears to be [player_tooltip player_id='1263887' first='Grady' last='Wolbrink'] of Harrisburg, who rotated between an option QB and tight end this season, but that is where in my eyes on tape his presence is made most. He shows off great hands in high traffic areas and assembles the poise too as a route-runner. He's fluid off the snap as a route-runner and I can tell casts a sizable catch radius. He's gotten production too in the open field and you can really see his acceleration take shape within the second level as the 6'3 215 pounder looks like a sure-fire Saturday prospect in my eyes, as Grady has an older brother that plays at Sioux Falls.

A 2027 SD prospect that my gut instinct was right that he would have a great junior season was [player_tooltip player_id='1264217' first='Jeremy' last='Hofer'] of Huron. What's even better is Jeremy has thrived as a defensive back, a different position than where I had him graded which shows the position flexibility he has on both sides of the ball. He's got a heckueva lot more instinctive with his athletic movement from my eyes and appears to have a quick knack using his vision to his advantage as a safety. One of a handful of difference makers we identified early for the Tigers in their stellar 2025 season that was their best one in a while.

Griffin surely looked like a top-tier wide receiver in the state in this 2027 SD class and will be one that will get a significant rankings bump overall, as it doesn't take long to like what he shows on tape. The 6'3 185 pounder has great athleticism thru high traffic areas and knows how to use his length to his advantage as well. The consistency is evident for Grifin on both sides of the ball. His nose for the ball defensively is stellar on tape too, as he uses his mix of hard-hitting and instincts around the ball to be one of Tea's biggest impact players coming back for more in his senior season.
