All of that was on display during a Class 2A semifinal victory against previously unbeaten Osage. The senior disrupted the proceedings for the Green Devil offense by producing 7.0 tackles, including two for loss and a pair of sacks. He also was credited with a quarterback hurry. The Bulldogs employ Glade on the defensive front, but his skill set would work at linebacker or hybrid on the next level, if that's the college path he chooses. He's an interesting prospect that gets overshadowed by a talented roster around him.

Wiebelhaus caught my attention during the Bulldogs' victory against previously unbeaten Osage in the Class 2A state semifinals at the UNI-Dome. The junior lined up at left tackle on an offensive line that included several other talented performers. Wiebelhaus still is a little raw, but the foundation is there for future success. He's tall with long arms and a frame capable of adding good weight and strength that would make him even more effective. Wiebelhaus shows quick and smooth feet. His athleticism is an asset, too. He hadn't been on my radar before seeing him in Cedar Falls, but he's firmly on it now. Colleges should also be monitoring his progress.

Street definitely was a pop-up prospect for me when watching the Green Devils take on Van Meter in the Class 2A state semifinals at the UNI-Dome. The sophomore delivered 8.0 tackles, six of which were of the solo variety. He posted a tackle for loss and forced a fumble. Street operates fast and physical, flying to the football and playing downhill. He finished the season with 43.0 tackles (35 solo, 7.0 TFL). He also caught 10 balls for 126 yards and a touchdown, flashing the explosiveness and other traits that could make him successful on that side of the ball, too. Street is a prospect I'll be monitoring more moving forward, and colleges also would be wise to check in on his development.

I went into the Class 2A semifinal game between Kuemper Catholic and Wilton wondering why Vonnahme wasn't receiving more attention on the recruiting trail. His brother, DJ, was breaking through as a redshirt freshman tight end at Iowa, and Braxton was piling up numbers as a senior receiver. After watching him catch nine passes for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns, I'm even more baffled by the tardiness in schools getting after this kid. He's every bit of the 6-2 at which he's listed with long arms and strides that make him a tough cover. Vonnahme can get by defensive backs with his speed, too, and definitely shows another gear in the open field. He ran an advanced, crisp route on his first touchdown that gave the opponent little chance. Somebody will get a steal with this guy.

Diehl was one of the guys I was most looking forward to seeing during the state semifinals at the UNI-Dome. He did not disappoint during a convincing victory against Wilton. Diehl stood out on both sides of the ball for his physicality and power. He overwhelmed the opponent, showing live what he displays on tape. Diehl operates with good pad level on both sides of the trench and benefits from a sound foundation. He wins with his hands wherever he lines up. I think he could develop on offense or defense at the next level, and definitely is deserving of more attention on the recruiting trail.

I didn't know a lot about Putman heading into Wilton's semifinal matchup with Kuemper Catholic at the UNI-Dome. He flashed an intriguing set of skills and potential for more during the contest. He showed big-play ability on offense, catching three balls for 101 yards, including a 65-yarder. Defensively, he delivered 4.0 tackles, three of which were solo. Putman averaged 42.3 yards on four punts and had one touchback on three kickoffs. He also converted his three point-after-touchdown attempts. That's goodness in three phases. With height, long arms and a projectable frame capable of easily adding good weight without the loss of agility and athleticism, Putman is firmly on our radar now.
