Top Title Contenders/Favorites

Boyd Buchanan: The Buccaneers are without question one of the more dangerous teams within D2-Class AA as Boyd Buchanan is undefeated entering postseason play. The Buccaneers have been extremely consistent on both sides of the ball this year and should not be slept on in the playoffs.

FRA: The Panthers have a good chance of winning it all this season as FRA has been extremely difficult to contain all season long. FRA has suffered only one loss all season to Antioch in week seven. Offensively, the Panthers have been very efficient at finding the scoreboard. FRA's defense has also had a good year, proving their ability to really pressure the offense and force turnovers.

BGA: The Wildcats are another top title contender to watch out for as BGA has been on a roll this season, falling only once to FRA in week five of the regular season. BGA's offense and defense are very good at working together to get the job done and that should make them a very difficult team to defeat throughout postseason competition.

Knoxville Grace: The Rams are a dangerous team in D2-Class AA as Knoxville Grace has been on fire throughout the regular season, faltering only twice to ACS and Boyd Buchanan in back-to-back matchups. The Rams really stand out offensively with their ability to constantly punch into the endzone and run away with the lead.

Sleeper Teams

Goodpasture: The Cougars are a talented ball club that could upset the natural order in D2-Class AA as Goodpasture has only suffered three losses all season to Davidson Academy, BGA, and FRA. The Cougars have a strong offense and a defense that can make important stops in crucial moments. Goodpasture is definitely a sleeper team to keep an eye on in postseason play.

Davidson Academy: The Bears are another sleeper team to watch out for as Davidson Academy has the potential to knock off some of the better teams in D2-Class AA. The Bears have suffered a few losses this season, but have an assortment of talent on their roster that could help them to bounce back and dominate the competition in the playoffs.

Silverdale: The Seahawks also should not be slept on as Silverdale has had a solid year, falling four times to some extremely gifted teams. Silverdale has got a strong offense that can quickly put points on the scoreboard and run away with the game. The Seahawks could definitely upset some of the top teams in D2-Class AA.

Top Prospects to Watch

2028 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1037670' first='Jackson' last='Nimitz'] - FRA

What stands out about Nimitz is his ability to stay composed in the pocket, quickly scan the backfield, and deliver the impressive deep pass. Nimitz is going to be a challenge for opposing defenses due to his strong passing ability, his ability to juke out defenders, and his ability to fight for the first down himself.

2026 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1528452' first='Joshua' last='Bolden'] - Davidson Academy

Bolden is a strong offensive playmaker for the Bears that could very well have a strong showing throughout postseason play. Bolden's size, speed, and wingspan make him a difficult receiver to contain down the stretch as he can use his footwork to deceive defenders and get wide open for the long pass.

2026 RB [player_tooltip player_id='402534' first='David' last='Green'] - Boyd Buchanan

Green is another offensive playmaker to watch out for during postseason play as he can power through the pocket with ease and find his way into enemy territory. With great size, speed off the handoff, and great durability, Green could be a problem for opposing defenders all throughout the playoffs.

2026 QB [player_tooltip player_id='914547' first='Kaedyn' last='Marable'] - BGA

Marable has had an outstanding year at the helm of the Wildcats' offense, showing off his strong passing ability as well as his ability to take the ball into enemy territory himself. Marable's ability to complete the deep pass is going to make a huge impact during the playoffs.

2027 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1535798' first='Connor' last='Jenne'] - Silverdale

Jenne is a strong signal caller for the Seahawks to watch out for as he's proven his ability to complete the challenging deep pass in crunch time. I also like how Jenne can escape pressure and get the ball into the hands of his receivers despite heavy defensive pressure.

2027 DL/OL [player_tooltip player_id='866750' first='Keilan' last='Neal'] - FRA

Neal is a strong lineman for the Panthers that can make an immediate impact. With great size, and toughness at the line of scrimmage, Neal can shut down defensive pressure and bottle up the run game on the other side of the ball.

2029 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1537396' first='Maddox' last='Porter'] - BGA

Porter is a huge offensive playmaker for the Wildcats and has made his presence known down the stretch during his freshman campaign with BGA. I fully expect Porter to be locked in for postseason play and continue to prove why he's one of the top 2029 receivers in the state of Tennessee.
