PRZ AL Game of the Week: Hoover (6-4) vs. Central (9-1)

Welcome back! We're previewing a huge matchup between Hoover (6-4) and Central (9-1)   Both these teams have STACKED rosters, so we're discussing who we think everyone should look out for this week.   As always, check out these prospects' film below! You won't want to miss out on this group.   Let's dive in:   <h1 class="wp-block-heading">OFFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">HOOVER</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1604821' first='Jeremiah' last='Tabb'] is a dominant WR who's made a ton of huge plays out wide for Hoover's passing attack this year.   “At 6'2 200, Tabb is a massive threat on the outside- he's got great size, is highly athletic, and can attack secondaries at every level of the field.   Tabb has a great set of hands and thrives in contested situations. He's great in one-on-one situations and consistently fights off defenders to pull away some huge receptions downfield. Tabb also has great YAC ability- he sees the field really well and uses his speed and elusiveness to add extra yards after the catch.“   Tabb has been one of Hoover's go-to targets out wide this season. We all have to look out for him this week. You can see how dominant he's been below:      [player_tooltip player_id='401114' first='Jonah' last='Winston'], a Florida State commit, is a talented WR who's made a ton of explosive plays this season.   “Although listed as an ATH and having some serious talent on defense, Winston truly shines out wide in Hoover's passing attack. Winston is explosive in every sense of the word- he has great speed, can quickly accelerate, and can make defenders miss to carve up huge plays in the secondary.   I'm really impressed by Winston's route running and what he can do after the catch. He gains tons of separation out of his breaks and is a constantly open target for his offense. Wintson really thrives after the catch, finding ways to navigate defenses and make the most out of every reception he brings in.”   Wintson has been a dominant playmaker for Hoover this season. Make sure you check out some of what he's done this season, it's been super impressive to watch:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">CENTRAL</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='708429' first='Bobby' last='Coleman Jr.'] has had a terrific junior season as Central's QB this year, dominating secondaries all across the state.   “Coleman has a ton of different impressive talents dnd traits that are already easy to see in his game. He throws a tight spiral, can place great touch underneath his passes, and delivers the ball with a ton of accuracy all over the field.   Coleman is a quick processor and great decision-maker with the ball. He can quickly scan the field to find the open man and does a great job not putting the ball in harm's way. That, combined with his athleticism, makes him a seriously tough QB to gameplan against.“   I've been extremely impressed with Coleman's play this season. He's been downright unstoppable, making terrific throws all over the field against some talented defenses. Check it out below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1895328' first='Jayshaun' last='Woodhouse'] has broken out as one of the top RBs in the state this season.   "Woodhouse is electric with the ball in his hands. He has explosive speed, great quickness, and can effortlessly change his direction in the open field to create huge plays on the ground.   I'm really impressed with Woodhouse's elusiveness. He can quickly cut to make defenders miss, constantly shaking and leaving them in the dust for huge plays. Woodhouse is just as productive in the passing game using these traits. He's a well-rounded player you can get the ball to in several ways."   Woodhouse has been unstoppable over the second half of the season. I'm really excited to see how he'll perform against this Hoover defense. We're all going to need to tune in.     <h1 class="wp-block-heading">DEFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">HOOVER</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='646862' first='Jovon' last='Pulliam'] is an ascending LB in the state's 2027 class who's been having a terrific season for Hoover's defense.   "Pulliam is an exciting EDGE/LB everyone should look out for moving forward. He's fast, strong, and plays with intense effort every single snap, leading to a ton of great plays against the pass.   I love watching Pulliam with his hands in the dirt. He explodes off the snap, has a terrific blend of speed and power, and consistently embarrasses offensive tackles to get to the quarterback and create stops. I'm excited to keep watching Pulliam; he's been an exciting player to watch this season."   Pulliam has had a massive year this fall, making plays in the backfield, in coverage, and on the quarterback. Be sure to check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1631233' first='DJ' last='Waluyn'] is a talented DB in Hoover's secondary who's had a terrific junior season.   "Waluyn is a talented safety that offenses have to look out for every down. Waluyn is quick, plays with a ton of speed and instincts, and can make huge plays on the ball in coverage. He's terrific at tracking and getting his hands on passes, frequently causing pass breakups and hauling in interceptions.   Against the run, Waluyn is quick to get downhill, is excellent in pursuit, and frequently hunts down the ball carrier to create stops by the line of scrimmage and in the open field."   Waluyn has become one of the top safeties in our 2027 class. He'll absolutely be a player to watch for this week. In the meantime, check out some of his tape below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">CENTRAL</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='212200' first='Tristan' last='Lyles'] has been the best pass rusher in the state this season- we'll all have to watch for him this week.   “Lyles is a dominant defender who can play the run and pass extremely well. He explodes off the snap, plays with great speed and leverage, and can easily work his way around offensive linemen to get into the backfield and make plays.   I'm most impressed with Lyles' pass rushing. He has an impressive blend of speed and power and a wide variety of moves he uses to quickly get to the quarterback and generate pressure/rack up sacks.”   Lyles has been unstoppable this season- no one in the state has been able to keep him away from the quarterback. Be sure to watch him this week, and check out his senior tape below>      [player_tooltip player_id='1322028' first='Brennan' last='Core'] is a dominant LB over at Central who's been having a very productive senior season.   "Core is a monster over the middle of the field that makes a ton of plays down at the line of scrimmage and in the backfield. Core is a dominant run defender- he plays with a ton of speed and strength, overwhelms blockers, and fights to get to the ball carrier to make some seriously impressive tackles behind the line of scrimmage.   Core is just as valuable on passing downs- he's excellent at blitzing and affecting the quarterback, but can also make some great plays on the ball out in coverage as well."
