Postseason Round Two- Standout Offensive Performances

What a week!   Today, we're watching some of our Standout Performers on the defensive side of the ball. These prospects dominated this week and have been putting together some impressive seasons- we're all going to have to watch out for them moving forward.   With that being said, make sure you watch their film below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1355857' first='Cedrick' last='Simmons'] has been unstoppable all year long, and this past week, the junior WR from Southside put together one of his best performances yet.   “Simmons is a quick wide receiver who gains tons of separation from his route-running. It's really impressive watching Simmons play as an underclassman- he already has a strong understanding of defenses and what he needs to do to take advantage of them.   Simmons also has a great set of hands that enable him to consistently make catches, regardless of his position on the field. He can get open easily and is a constant threat to secondaries no matter what route he runs.“   Simmons was unstoppable this week, hauling in 12 receptions for 207 yards and 2 TDs and making it look easy. You'll be impressed:      [player_tooltip player_id='1226916' first='Joshua' last='Woods'] is a talented senior RB who's produced a ton for Clay Chalkville's rushing attack this season.   "Woods is a dynamic back who plays with a ton of speed, quickness, and physicality. He has a terrific burst out of the backfield, top-end speed in the open field, and can break tackles/shed defenders with ease. Woods has a terrific vision- he does a great job seeing the field and consistently maximizes each carry.   One of the most impressive aspects of Woods' tape is his elusiveness. Woods has a wide variety of juke moves he uses to his advantage to cut up defenses and can consistently make defenders miss, no matter who he's playing against."   Woods had a huge night against Gadsden City, recording 17 carries for 133 yards and 2 TDs on the ground.   Throughout this fall, Woods has put together some impressive tape you can check out below:      Cayden Hofabuer is a talented senior QB out of Mountain Brook who has helped his team in a ton of different ways this season.   "Hofbauer is an intelligent playmaker with the ball who can use his arms and legs to keep defenses on their toes every snap. He's quick to process, throws with good accuracy, and consistently gets the ball out quickly to his playmakers outside.   Hofbauer is just as difficult to stop when he's on the move. He's quick, elusive, and has impressive open field speed and contact balance he uses to carve up defenses for big gains on the ground. It's really tough to stop Hofbauer; his scrambling ability opens up so much of Mountain Brook's rushing attack."   Hofbauer was unstoppable against Fort Payne, completing 6/8 attempts for 96 yards and one TD through the air, with another 12 carries for 192 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. You'll be impressed:      [player_tooltip player_id='271992' first='Hudson' last='Higgins'] is a do-it-all weapon out of Mars Hill Bible who had a phenomenal performance on the ground this past week.   Higgins is incredibly athletic and plays with a ton of speed wherever he lines up- he creates huge plays with the ball in his hands and is a threat everywhere on the field. Higgins is explosive out of the backfield- he's patient behind the line of scrimmage, has great vision, and is excellent at making defenders miss, constantly coming up with huge gains on the ground.   Higgins is just as good at running routes and catching the ball- he gains great separation with his speed and quickness, has a reliable set of hands, and can create a lot of extra yardage after the catch. Defensively, Higgins is fantastic at reading and reacting to plays- he flies to the ball and consistently puts himself in great position to affect plays, coming up with huge stops against the run and pass.   Higgins was unstoppable against Winfield, racking up 15 carries for 230 yards and 2 TDs on the ground.   Make sure you watch some of Higgins' tape below if you haven't already. He's a talented player with tons to offer at the next level.      [player_tooltip player_id='216690' first='Trent' last='Seaborn'], an Alabama commit, helped lead his offense to a complete dismantling of MGM's secondary this past week.   “Seaborn has a terrific understanding of his offense and what to do with the ball- he scans the entire field, makes great decisions, and quickly gets the ball out, never putting it in harm's way.    On top of his mental attributes, Seaborn has a heck of an arm he uses to make difficult throws all over the field- he's a top-tier passer with tons of talent and potential.“   Seaborn had a near-perfect game, completing 15/16 passes for 262 yards and 4 TDs through the air.
