Against Castle View, it was no different. He went 19/21 for 317 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INT, 3 carries for 22 yards and 1 touchdown. Reese has good athletic ability due to good acceleration, speed, very good change of direction. Reese has very good throw power paired with very good release. Reese throws with very good touch, making it easier for the receivers to catch. Fits the ball in tight windows, especially downfield. He launches it downfield effortlessly. Very good throw on the run paired with good scramble ability. Snappy hips and quick with resetting his throwing motion. If no one's open, he isn't reckless with the football. He's very poised under pressure always looking downfield to make the completion. Good progression speed. Very good off platform throws. He can throw on his backfoot and still make a 50 + yard pass look easy. Very good ball placement skills. Very good pocket presence, being shifty and avoiding sacks. He's not afraid of getting hit, staying in the pocket to make the throw. Reese is a very accurate QB with a beautiful deep ball. An impressive part of his game, is turning would be negative plays into positive ones. He's already one of the top quarterbacks in the state, and it's his first season starting. If he keep this up, he will be starting for a P4 team in our future.

The sophomore offensive weapon had a statement game against Ponderosa. He had 15 carries for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns, with 20 kick return yards. On the season, he has 36 carries for 304 yards and 5 touchdowns with 9 receptions for 124 yards and 1 touchdown. The running game between Schwartz and Thenell were the reason why Heritage won the game. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, good change of direction, and balance. He's a scat back and can make impacts both receiving and running. Very good vision and very good outside running. He'll run to the sideline and defenders won't be able to catch him with his home run speed. Very good at jump cuts and making defenders miss. Exciting performance by the young running back.

Measuring in at 6'0 180-pounds, Banks is a monster out of the backfield for Legend. Against Regis Jesuit, he had 21 carries for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns, with 6 receptions for 100 yards. Banks has elite athletic ability due to elite speed, acceleration, balance, and change of direction. I rarely give out elite grades, and he has all for athletic ability. Banks uses his very good vision at the line of scrimmage to identify where to go. He's a mixture of a weaver and power back. Banks slides through the field looking like a prancing deer. He has elite explosive jump cuts. Makes defenders miss, and makes it look effortless. He consistently gets yards after contact by bouncing off of defenders, or running through them. Banks has very good inside and outside running. Very good catching out of the backfield. Plucks the ball and runs. Banks is a complete running back, and would be an instant contributor at the D1 level.

Measuring in at 5'6 135-pounds, Barela has a season high game to cap off the season. The junior running back had 13 carries for 169 yards and 4 touchdowns, with 1 reception for 68 yards and 1 touchdown. Barela has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, good balance, and change of direction. He uses his good vision at the line of scrimmage to weave through the defense. He's a weaver running back and makes defenders miss with his athletic ability. Very good inside running, good outside running. Barela uses his dynamic cuts to make defenders miss. Very good juke moves. Barela is only a junior, but it a name to watch going into next year for La Junta.

Drumm just received an offer from West Virginia, and it's very deserving. The 6'3 185-pound number 1 receiver for Arapahoe had 4 receptions for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has very good athletic ability due to very good jumping, acceleration, speed, and good change of direction. Very good release at the line of scrimmage. Doesn't matter who's in front of him, he's dominating with his quick feet and 1,2 shake at the line of scrimmage. Very good separation quickness due to his athletic ability, play strength, and mental processing. He'll either outrun the defender, find an open void to exploit, or out muscle the defender to get open. Very good ball tracking and catching. He plucks the ball out of the air with his suction hands. Very good body adjustment and control. He keeps his feet in bounds on sideline throws, and goes up for the contested catch. After the catch, he uses his physicality to run through defender, or out run them. Drumm is a beast and deserving of that P4 offer.

This last week of the season wasn't shy of offensive performances. From big running performances, to multiple receiving touchdowns, we had it all in Week 10. I selected a handful to dissect and discuss as I believe each player elevates their team's ceiling.
