**The Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase Tour is coming to many cities, including Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta, Georgia event will be held on January 10th for all players in the 2026-2029. College coaches will be in attendance, colleges will receive results, you will receive media coverage, and a huge opportunity to make a name for yourself. Click here to register, and use code "SiskWinterPRZ" to get $10 off!**

This slate of games in this division is noticeable, and this will be one of the better slates of the playoffs as a whole. There are multiple games that are interesting on paper, and all teams bring a new flavor of what fans should expect. The winners of these four games will get down to the semi-finals, but first, it is time to preview the four contests and two players from each contest that could be a game-changer

No. 1 Jefferson vs. No. 8 Cairo

This game is going to be interesting, as any given Friday is a real deal, but this game is definitely favored for Jefferson to win. Jefferson is arguably the favorite to win the state title, and they are a dangerous program in this division. Jefferson ran through Harlem just a week ago, while Cairo beat Troup County (whom I picked to beat Cairo). Cairo has a lot to offer, but if they want to hit their max, they will need to get off to an early start in this one.

He is someone who could very well take this game over. He has been one of the more efficient players for the Dragons, and he was last week with a team-high 8 tackles in the game. That is quite impressive as a defensive back, and that is something that many will pick up on as the time goes. He will have a tougher task in this game, and Cairo will look to limit any damage from the Dragons' DB.

Duncan had a very good day last week when it comes to a scoring aspect of things, and he is someone who will make a major impact in this game. The Syrupmakers will need him at his best if they want to challenge the toughness and the talent that Jefferson has. I believe, regardless, he will have some big plays. Duncan is a great player, and will be an impact player entering this game.

No. 5 Jenkins vs. No. 4 West Laurens

This game is going to be so fun to watch. This is a toss-up in many people's eyes, but both sides will need to show up. This is the other game on the side of Cairo and Jefferson. The winner of those two games will match up. That's four great teams on the side, and all of them give you a reason to believe that they can be a state finalist. West Laurens is undefeated, and they will look to keep their 0, but if that will be the case, they will have to derail a very tough Jenkins squad that wants all the smoke. I am excited for this one, and so should everyone else.

Cummings was a force last week against Oconee County. He finished the game averaging over 7 yards per carry and had a touchdown on an average of every five touches. He is one of the better players on this team, and is a weapon that many will have to prove that they can stop. If he is reliable in the way that many believe he is and the way that he has shown he is, then he will be the impact player of a possible win for the West Lauren Raiders.

Holloway is the QB in this game for Jenkins. he wasn't as accurate in some areas as you would like, but he didn't make many mistakes. He was very fluid and didn't throw an interception. He finished the contest with multiple touchdowns, and that is thanks to some solid passes and some great receptions as well. I believe that he is someone who could change the outcome in this game with just a few good passes.

No. 3 Sandy Creek vs. No. 11 Douglass

Douglass had one of the bigger upsets of the week, as they defeated the reigning state champs. That team being Calhoun, who remains to have a tough team. I was quite shocked to see the outcome of that game, especially considering the fact that they held Calhoun scoreless. Sandy Creek is one of the better teams in the division, as this team will be the favorite in this game, but if that is the case, then they will still have to play the right way to win. Douglass will hope to keep their Cinderella story in place, but Sandy Creek would love nothing more than to play spoiler.

[player_tooltip player_id='910346' first='Amari' last='Latimer'] is nothing short of being called a "freak athlete". Many schools want him for a reason, and he is someone who will do good no matter the coverage you have. It isn't about stopping him, it's entirely about limiting him, because there's no such thing as stopping Latimer. One of my favorite backs in the nation and in the state. If he is on fire, then it might be a very long night for Douglass.

Anderson is a talented back in his own right, and is a guy who could be an impact player for Douglass. The defense he will face is quite tough, so this will be a long game for him, but if he can run through the fatigue, then this team will be in great shape. As long as they stay in this game through three quarters, then he is going to be a game-changer along the way.

No. 7 Stephenson vs. No. 15 LaGrange

Stephenson survived against Westside, and that is something that showed, as it took a 37-point effort just to win this game by two points in the end. Stephenson needs a better defensive effort to walk away with this win, but if they can't do that, then there is a good chance that LaGrange pulls off the upset. LaGrange walked away with a 52-point showing and a much better performance. If these two met up last week, then it would've gone in LaGrange's direction.

Green is one of the bright spots of this defense, and they will need to run their defense through him. He is a guy who will be a game-changing factor when he is at his best, and if he can hold down the second level, then this team will be in great shape. He was one of the better players on the team last week, and he will have the chance to do that again.

Huzzie is a DAWG. He finished the last game with multiple interceptions, one that resulted in a pick-six. If he is at his best, then he will be someone who can change the outcome of this game.
