Each week, we'll be highlighting a team from each classification that got a big win, reached a milestone, or made history with their victory. Game balls are a special reward handed out after games to recognize outstanding play on the field, and we want to acknowledge teams each week that make a statement. Here are our team game balls for week nine of the season!
CLASS AAAA
HEDGESVILLE EAGLES
Defeated Parkview (VA) 16-0 for first win of the season
The Hedgesville Eagles finally broke through with a strong all-around performance, blanking Park View (VA) 16-0 to secure their first win of the season. The Eagles' defense set the tone early, shutting down the Patriots' offense and keeping them scoreless all night, while the offense capitalized on key drives to take control of the game.
The win lifted Hedgesville to 1-7 and gave the team a much-needed confidence boost heading into the final stretch of the season. It was a complete effort from start to finish, earning the Eagles our Class AAAA Team of the Week honors.

PRINCETON TIGERS
Defeated previously unbeaten AA Independence 42-30

leading the way on the ground — including a thrilling 92-yard touchdown run that helped swing momentum in the Tigers' favor. The Tigers showed their balance and composure, responding to every Independence rally with big plays and steady drives.
Their defense stepped up when it mattered most, sealing the win late and handing the Patriots their first loss of the year. It was a statement performance that proved Princeton is one of the top contenders in Class AAA.

FRANKFORT FALCONS
Defeated AAA Herbert Hoover 37-25
The Frankfort Falcons proved once again why they're one of the premier programs in Class AA, battling through adversity to defeat AAA Herbert Hoover 37-25 and earn our Class AA Team of the Week honors. Facing their toughest test in nearly two seasons, the Falcons broke open a tight halftime game with a dominant second-half performance to extend their winning streak to 23 games and improve to 9-0 on the year. 2027 RB/DB

CLAY-BATTELLE CEE-BEES
Defeated #3 Sherman 16-14
The Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees earned back-to-back Class A Team of the Week honors with a dramatic 16-14 victory over No. 3 Sherman. Trailing late in the game, quarterback Corey Coen Corey Coen ATH Clay-Battelle | 2027 WV connected with Cody Clovis on a clutch 25-yard touchdown, and Caleb Hall Caleb Hall 5'8" | 145 lbs | RB Clay-Battelle | 2028 WV ran in the two-point conversion to give the Cee-Bees the lead. Clay-Battelle's defense held strong in the final moments, including a key interception to seal the win. Clovis shined throughout, catching two touchdown passes, including a 59-yard score in the first quarter.
With the win, Clay-Battelle improved to 7-1, handing Sherman their second loss of the season and proving the team's resilience and poise in high-pressure situations.
