It's the second time this season that Adams has earned our “Statewide POTW” with another all-time performance during the Bears 64-62 win over Franklin Road Academy. This junior signal caller was on another level last week where he produced nine total offensive touchdowns along with 538 yards of offense. The opposition simply had no answers for Adams as he was able to do just about anything he wanted. The production Adams has put forth this year should definitely have him in consideration for our #PRZTN player of the year and Mr. Football top honors.

The Lynx pulled off a major victory last week when they defeated Collierville, 49-36 with this two-way talent dominating on the offensive side of the ball. Rodgers was unstoppable and highly efficient. He caught only 7 passes but made them count with 243 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Rodgers is a dynamic prospect with great speed and a knack for making big plays. He showed that against the Dragons last week and was a major factor behind the thirteen point victory.

Even though his Longhorns team fell in defeat last week to Pigeon Forge, Csillag was an absolute machine that was constantly around the ball from start to finish. Against the Tigers, Csillag produced a staggering 25 total tackles with four of them for loss and one sack. Wherever the ball was, the Longhorns linebacker found it. Csillag also contributed on offense with one rushing touchdown. This East Tennessee product has had such a productive season that he is definitely in-line to receive All-State honors by the end of the football year.

O-line Unit of the Week

Boyd Buchanan Buccaneers (Key Players: [player_tooltip player_id='1648773' first='Celbie' last='Urffer'], Blaze Raschke)

- The Bucs picked up a big win last week over region foe Silverdale with the offensive line leading the way against a solid Seahawks defensive front. The five guys up front have been consistent all year long with maybe last Thursday being their top performance of the season. They paved the way for star back [player_tooltip player_id='402534' first='David' last='Green'] to run for 223 yards and three touchdowns while also keeping the Silverdale pass rushers off their quarterback. Boyd Buchanan's offensive line is a key reason why they remain undefeated and a top contender for the D2-Class AA state title.

Positional Players of the Week

QB: [player_tooltip player_id='1562192' first='T.J.' last='Jenkins'] - Lausanne (Stats: 14-18 passing for 368 yds & 5 TD's - 35 yds rushing, 2 TD's)

- As the season has gone, Jenkins has continued to improve with his best game of the season coming last week in the Lynx win over Collierville. This senior signal caller was masterful by producing over 400 yards of total offense along with seven touchdowns. Last week's performance also boosted his stock as Jenkins performed at a high level versus a talented team.

RB: [player_tooltip player_id='1589943' first='Quincy' last='Mitchell'] - Forrest ‘28 (Stats: 25 carr. for 329 yds & 4 TD's - 40 yds receiving, 1 TD)

- Mitchell has been a breakout star this season where he consistently puts forth monster games and he did it again last week. Nobody has been able to stop Mitchell this year and Cascade couldn't do it in “Week Eight' as Mitchell had another 300 plus game along with five total offensive touchdowns with four on the ground and one through the air.

- - -

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='966033' first='Brandon' last='Goliday'] - Antioch (Stats: 12 rec. for 245 yds & 4 TD's)

- This is the second time Goliday has earned this honor and it may not be the last with how he is playing right now. The Bears wideout is one of the biggest breakout seniors this Fall and someone earning more recruiting attention because of it. Putting forth games like his 245 yard and four touchdown performance last week should only continue to force coaches to pay attention.

Ath: [player_tooltip player_id='1647015' first='Weston' last='Ritter'] - Karns (Stats: 5 rec. for 104 yds & 3 TD's - 9 tcks, 2 TFL & 2 sacks on Def.)

- Ritter has performed at a high level for most of the 2025 football year with “Week Eight” being one of the best performances to date. The Beavers senior two-way prospect contributed in a big way on both sides of the ball during the team's victory over Morristown-East where he generated 104 yards receiving and three scores while also having nine tackles with two sacks on defense

DL/Edge: [player_tooltip player_id='1675657' first='Tayden' last='Russell'] - Lawrence Co. (Stats: 8 tcks, 3 TFL & 2 sacks)

- The Wildcats went on the road last week and picked up a big win over Dickson Co. with Russell being a top performer in the victory. This senior defensive tackle is an active, disruptive guy that played in the Cougars backfield most of the night, producing eight total tackles with three of them for a loss and two sacks.

- - -

LB: Caden McCrary - Marion Co. (Stats: 13 tcks, 3 TFL, 1 FF & 1 sack)

- The Warriors took sole position of 1st place in the region after the big win over Grundy Co. last week with McCrary and their defense standing out. This junior linebacker was a force where he generated 13 total tackles on the night with three of them for loss, one forced fumble and one sack.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='1635948' first='Joshua' last='Anderson'] - Clarksville (Stats: 5 tcks, 3 PD & 2 Int's)

- Anderson has been steady all season long for his Clarksville team, providing blanket coverage on the island, especially in last week's home victory over Shelbyville. This senior defender is a versatile guy with ball hawk tendencies that used those ball skills big time in “Week Eight” with five tackles, three passes defended and two interceptions.
