[player_tooltip player_id='937176' first='Malachi' last='Garlington'] 27' WR Nelson

As referenced numerous times already Garlington is probably the fastest rising recruit in the state for the 2027 class. He has been nothing short of phenomenal all year, catching 7 passes for 290 all-purpose yards and 5 total TDs (4 receiving), in the 56-19 win over Sandy.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110957' first='Heath' last='Thompson'] 26' RB Westview

Thompson went off on Friday, helping the Cats get a key 22-16 win over Sunset, giving them the inside track on the Metro #3 seed. He rushed for 240 yards and 3 TDs as the Apollos had no answer. He also returned an INT 56 yards for a touchdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='937241' first='Cole' last='Hachmeister'] 27' RB Tualatin

The 5-9 D1 athlete had a big night in his return, carrying the ball 21 times for 225 yards and 2 TDs, to go with 2 receptions for 48 in the 43-16 win over Oregon City. The speed alone puts him in a special category.

[player_tooltip player_id='1341893' first='Danner' last='Frost'] 26' TE/DE Ridgeview

Ridgeview has been one of the surprise teams statewide with Frost being a big reason why. The underrated senior had 2 touchdowns offensively with 3 sacks on D, helping to solidify himself as one of the top 5A players in the state. The Ravens sit at 5-1 after the 41-8 win over Crook County.

[player_tooltip player_id='904208' first='Zeke' last='Thomas'] 28' QB/[player_tooltip player_id='1654724' first='Hunter' last='Vaughn'] 26' ATH Willamette

2028 top recruit Thomas has been consistent all year throwing for another 352 yards and 4 TDs in the 42-22-win over North Medford. Vaughn is a D1 guy in my opinion and continues to kill it, finishing with 185 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='402395' first='Braxton' last='Singleton'] 26' WR North Salem

Even though he's got a handful of D1 offers, Singleton could be the most under recruited kid in the state. The 6-3 POY candidate has excelled on both sides of the ball, adding 181 receiving yards and 2 TDs in the 37-24 loss to #11 West Salem

[player_tooltip player_id='402397' first='Brison' last='Edwards'] 26' QB/ [player_tooltip player_id='936994' first='Kobe' last='Zurfluh'] 27' DE Lebanon

Edwards is having an all-state season with the Warriors undefeated and ranked among the top teams at the 5A level. He was once again instrumental passing for 216 yards and totaling 5 TDs (4 passing) in the teams 49-3 win over South Albany. Defensively the 6-2 210-pound Junior Zurfluh stood out adding 2 sacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='914302' first='Robbie' last='Long'] 26' QB/[player_tooltip player_id='402415' first='Killian' last='Sombe'] 26' RB/ [player_tooltip player_id='1585700' first='Cole' last='Thomas'] 26' ATH/S Central Catholic

The basketball standout Long had 4 passing TDs, with the 3* RB Sombe adding 2 touchdowns', in the 57-0 win over Reynolds. Thomas is an unquestioned 1st team all state DB and your special team's player of the year in Oregon thus far. He returned another kick for a TD.

[player_tooltip player_id='769995' first='Evan' last='Wusstig'] 26' ATH West Salem

I've always been a big Shawn Stanley advocate so it's good to see the Titans at 5-1. Wusstig is ranked one of the state's top players for 2026 and once again impressed with his versatility, catching a TD pass and returning another punt 70 yards for a touchdown in the 37-24 win over North Salem.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591586' first='Luke' last='Ortner'] 27' RB Jesuit

The list of great Crusader RB's is long. There are numerous high profile D1 guys and even a few NFL level athletes. That said, as Ortner set the school's all-time single game rushing record on Friday, going for 396 yards and 6 TDs, in the 63-27 win over Beaverton. He has been off the chart's good year, keeping the Crusaders in contention with all everything Nevada commit [player_tooltip player_id='770006' first='Joe' last='Stimpson'] out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560662' first='Rocco' last='De La Rosa'] 26' ATH Philomath

I have personally heard from multiple D1's interested in De La Rosa. He received an Air Force offer a few months ago and has backed that up on the field, finishing with 2 more TDs and an INT, in the 33-6 win over Cottage Grove.

[player_tooltip player_id='1358896' first='Andrew' last='Guthrie'] 27' QB/ [player_tooltip player_id='1864133' first='Jude' last='Anderson'] 26' RB Summit

One of the state's top 2027 prospects has his team listed as a favorite to win the 5A title. The big man passed for 265 yards and 3 TDs with the breakout senior Anderson rushing for 139 and 3 more touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='914279' first='Joseph' last='Janney'] 26' QB Henley

The QB from Southern Oregon has excelled since his sophomore season, potentially being the best overall athlete at the 4A level. On the night he rushed for 237 yards and 2 TDs, while passing for 149 and 2 more scores, in the 57-32 win over North Bend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956197' first='Ramsey' last='Prentice'] 27' DB Wells

Not a lot of people will know about the baseball first Prentice, but he is a super talented overall athlete with speed who has been one of the better players in the PIL. He added 2 more INTs to his resume in the 28-20 win over Grant.

[player_tooltip player_id='1569401' first='Ethan' last='Hein'] 26' ATH/ [player_tooltip player_id='1586706' first='Chace' last='Macken'] 26' RB Newberg

Hein was 1st team all-conference selection on both sides of the ball last season and is a Pacific Conference POY candidate. He had a combined 132 rushing/receiving yards and 3 TDs in the 35-7 win over McMinnville. Macken continues to play well, going for 127 and a score. This is one of the better Newberg teams in school history.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232743' first='Daniel' last='Heninger'] 26' RB Glencoe

This kid is a monster. Heninger doesn't really do anything to promote himself on social media, but his numbers speak for themselves. He went for 306 yards and 5 TDs in Glencoe's impressive 49-20 win over Liberty.

[player_tooltip player_id='1359052' first='Trevor' last='Glos'] 27' QB/ [player_tooltip player_id='1699751' first='Luke' last='Carli'] Wilsonville

It seems like these two are on this list literally every week. It's not easy to follow the 2x state POY Mark Wiepert at QB, but Glos has done that well, passing for 344 yards and 5 more TDs. Carli had 108 yards receiving and 3 of those touchdowns in the 50-7 win over Canby.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609774' first='Bentlee' last='Davenport'] 28' DB Thurston

Look for Davenport to be one of the only sophomores in Oregon to earn 5A all-state honors. He came up clutch again with 3 INTs, taking one back 30 yards for a TD, in the 44-7 win over Crater.

[player_tooltip player_id='1924243' first='Jayden' last='Locke'] 28' QB/ [player_tooltip player_id='986706' first='Raymond' last='Perez'] 28' DB Milwaukie

Milwaukie got a big win over a decent Hood River program 28-25 with the 6-4 sophomore Locke continuing to excel. He passed for 274 yards and 3 TDs with fellow 2028 standout Perez picking off 2 balls. The Mustangs moved to 5-0.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956192' first='Jora' last='Atwal'] 28' DB La Salle

Atwal is one of the better prospects in the state you might not know about. The 6-4 sophomore DB was key on D coming up with 2 INTs in the 46-16 win over David Douglas. The defense was outstanding, totaling 5 turnovers.
