As the 2025 regular season comes to a close, I wanted to dive into some of the athletes who have been diligently posting film over the season. I've found 7 dogs who are still searching for a home, all of whom have legit talent.

A gritty OL hailing from 4A powerhouse Byron, Edwards has been on one this season, clearing the way for the Bears' ball carriers. Edwards is a powerful IOL, capable of driving defenders off the ball, which is evident on his tape a number of times. He explodes off the LOS, and I love the way he finishes his blocks. This kid is physical and nasty; he wants to put defenders in the dirt at every possible opportunity. He's got a good first step off the LOS too, and can frequently be seen still blocking 5+ yards downfield. He's got that wrestler sense of leverage, too, which is very beneficial to his play style.

A two-way athlete for Harding/Humbolt, senior [player_tooltip player_id='1370580' first='Nasir' last='Yeah'] is another trench dog I cannot wait to highlight. He's a big man with a mean streak, something I cannot get enough of. He's got a high motor for an athlete, currently sitting shy of 300, and is stout on both sides of the rock. He fires off well on offense, working through the defender and finishing his blocks at the second level. I'd like to see him come off the ball a little lower on O, but I love his grit and intensity as a center. On defense, Yeah is a pain to deal with. He's shockingly quick off the line, and is very difficult for an IOL to move by themselves. I like his potential to play either side of the ball at the next level.

Fresh off of receiving a UMAC offer from Minnesota-Morris, York has been consistently putting forth film this year, and I'm pumped to finally get to cover him. He's thicker than the 160 he's listed at right now, and flashes moments of solid quickness and acceleration. He's got some power too, and is a strong gap runner, capable of pounding the defense repeatedly between the tackles. I love how quickly he cuts upfield, and once he speeds up, he can create problems for defenses.

The Anoka Tornados receiving yards leader through 7, Ban is an explosive route runner who excels at creating separation on short routes. He's dynamic in the slot and consistently manages to find the soft spot in zones. He boasts solid footwork and good hands. He's shown a fantastic double move at times, too. He's not receiving the attention he deserves, and could be a solid pickup for a bunch of MIAC squads.

Synder has been having an incredible senior campaign and is perhaps one of the biggest stock risers in the state this season. He's had a ton of success as an FS, tallying 4 INTs and 48 TTcks through 7 games, and his tape tells that story. He's got great ball skills and phenomenal instincts. I love how physical he can play as an FS, too. He has no problem crashing down and defending the run, and he's even made tough tackles close to the LOS. He's got plays on his tape that will make your jaw drop, specifically his pick against Robbinsdale Cooper. I could see NSIC upside, but if not, a MIAC/WIAC team is getting a steal.

Jordan has been statistically among the best WRs in the state this season, and that's with two games missed to injury. A crafty boundary receiver who has great route running and can go up and get passes, Jordan finds a way to make plays. He's quick out of his breaks and does a great job of high-pointing balls. He absorbs contact and still reels in the catch time after time. He's got an MIAC and a WIAC offer right now, but to me, his upside is clear and could easily have more.

Ali has had a fantastic junior season so far, and the tape he's been putting out has been incredible. He's got great top-end speed, to the point where he's been able to take jet sweeps 70+ yards to the house. His release off the line is among the top in the state, and he can lose even the best DBs in an instant. Man coverage is a mistake against Ali, and often a safety is required over the top. This kid's potential is nuts. I could see an FBS/FCS upside.
