As we enter the month of October, seven weeks of the 2025 high school football season in the state of Kentucky have already come and gone. Week 7 was filled with several exciting matchups with some very impressive individual performances. With that being said, I wanted to focus on some performances that stood out above the rest from Week 7, starting with the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='283961' first='Colin' last='Daniels'] is a quarterback who has been high on my radar for a while now and continued to impress last week. He led his team to a dominant victory over Breckenridge County, completing 16/23 passes for 256 yards and six touchdowns. Daniels showed the ability to get the ball out of his hands quickly to hit his receivers out of their breaks with ease. He also proved to be reliable under pressure, using his mobility to escape the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Daniels also ran the ball four times for 34 yards and a touchdown. His seven total touchdowns broke North Oldham's single-game touchdown record. Colin currently holds offers from Muskingum, Culver-Stockton, and Capital, and I expect more to come his way throughout his senior year.

Another senior quarterback who stood out to me last week was [player_tooltip player_id='1597571' first='Quinn' last='Summers']. Quinn guided his team to a win over Todd County Central, completing 12/19 passes for 241 yards and five touchdowns. He showed off his strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field with ease in the deep passing game. Summers also showed impressive accuracy, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver could catch it. He also led his team in rushing with two carries for 69 yards and a touchdown. Quinn doesn't currently hold any offers but he deserves some attention from college coaches as he has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1513937' first='Kaleb' last='Miller'] has gotten off to a very strong start to his senior year and continued to impress in Bell County's dominant Week 7 win over Rockcastle County. Miller carried the ball 18 times for 371 yards and five touchdowns. He showed the ability to use his vision to find the open running lane then use his speed to burst through it with a sense of urgency. Once he hit the open field, he showed the speed to run away from the defense and contact balance to break tackles with ease without losing stride. He also played a role on defense, recording eight tackles and one tackle for loss. Miller currently holds an offer from Howard Prep Academy and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1701057' first='Jackson' last='Burke'] has been very impressive in his first year as CAL's starting quarterback and he continued to stand out in their win over DeSales this past week. He showed very good decision making and perfect accuracy, completing 14/14 passes for 222 yards and seven touchdowns. Burke has showed the arm strength to stretch the field with ease in the deep passing game. Jackson is a quarterback who I expect college coaches to be paying close attention to over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1200564' first='Tayden' last='Lorenzen'] did a little bit of everything in Highlands' hard-fought win over Covington Catholic last week. He did most of his damage out of the backfield, leading his team with 22 carries for 81 yards and three touchdowns. Tayden is a physical runner, showing the ability to lower his shoulder and run straight through defenders. He also completed a 24-yard pass and caught the game-winning 18-yards touchdown passes out of the slot. Lorenzen currently holds an offer from Miami (OH) and I expect more to come his way over the next couple seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='951327' first='Nash' last='Whelan'] stepped into a new role as LCA's starting quarterback this season and he has excelled so far. He led the Eagles to an impressive Week 7 win over WEB DuBois, completing 12/19 passes for 254 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Whelan puts a nice amount of touch on his passes, showing the ability to put the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. He has also shown the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Whelan is also very dangerous in the run game, using his speed and elusiveness to tuck the ball and pick up big gains with his legs at any given moment. He led his team in rushing in last week's win with six carries for 115 yards and a touchdown. Whelan also recorded two tackles in the win. Nash should definitely be a player for college coaches to keep their eyes on over the next few seasons.

Kain Patton caught my attention with a very strong performance in Prestonburg's Week 7 win over Knott County Central. He finished the game with 19 carries for 233 yards and three touchdowns. Patton is a strong runner, showing the ability to keep his legs churning while maintaining his balance to break tackles with ease. He has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Patton also showed the ability to line up on the outside at receiver and pose as a threat in the passing game, leading his team with five catches for 113 yards and a touchdown in last week's win. Kain is a player who should be on the radar of college coaches this season.

My final offensive top performer from Week 7 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1656719' first='Reece' last='Hatcher']. Hatcher led Williamsburg to a dominant win over Pineville, completing 22/37 passes for 443 yards and five touchdowns. Reece has a very strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride with ease in the deep passing game. He also showed impressive ball placement, showing the ability to put his passes in a spot away from opposing defensive backs where only his receivers can catch them. Hatcher will definitely be a quarterback worth keeping a close eye on as he continues to develop over the next three years.
