As we enter the month of October, we have already made it through the first half of the 2025 high school football regular season in the state of Kentucky. With that being said, I have been releasing my Midseason All-State teams for each class. After already covering 3A-6A, I will now turn my attention to 2A, starting with the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='205472' first='Emmett' last='Queen'] has been very impressive in his first season at Beechwood. Through five games, he has completed 67/97 passes for 1,186 yards, 15 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Queen has a very strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field with ease in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to put passes in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. Emmett has also scored three rushing touchdowns so far this season. Queen currently holds offers from Toledo, Miami (OH), Eastern Kentucky, and Southern Mississippi, and I expect more to come his way as he is a true Division I quarterback prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1517153' first='Keshawn' last='Dixon'] has been on my radar for a while now and has continued to stand out this season. Dixon currently leads 2A in rushing with 105 carries for 1,039 yards and 14 touchdowns in six games. Keshawn is a strong runner, showing the ability to keep his legs churning through contact while maintaining his balance to break tackles with ease. Once he hits the open field, Dixon has shown the speed and elusiveness to break away on long runs. He also leads his team in receiving with 10 catches for 169 yards and a touchdown. Dixon has also made an impact on defense this season, recording 61 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and a sack. Keshawn doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should have on their radar this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1311186' first='Jayvian' last='Meaux'] has burst onto the scene in impressive fashion as a freshman. Through six games, he has carried the ball 116 times for 991 yards and 18 touchdowns. Meaux has very impressive elusiveness in the open field, showing the ability to make quick cuts to make defenders miss with ease. He has also shown the speed to run away from the defense once he hits the second level. Jayvian has also caught one touchdown pass this season and his 19 total touchdowns has him as the leading scorer in 2A through the first six weeks. Meaux should definitely be a player to keep a close eye on as he continues to develop over the next four years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1509008' first='Xavier' last='Maddox'] caught my attention on the camp circuit this offseason and he has continued to stand out as a senior. He is currently the leading receiver in 2A, catching 31 passes for 538 yards and six touchdowns in six games. Maddox is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation from opposing defensive backs. He is also impressive after the catch, showing the speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains. Maddox currently holds an offer from Kentucky Wesleyan and I expect more to come his way this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1200706' first='Tyler' last='Fryman'] has been high on my radar for a while now and has continued to impress this season. Fryman currently leads his team in receiving, catching 24 passes for 489 yards and eight touchdowns in five games. Beechwood loves to get him the ball quickly in open space as he has the ability to make defenders miss and then use his speed to run away from the defense to turn screens/short passes into big gains at any given moment. He has also shown the ability to create separation with ease in the deep passing game. Fryman also leads his team in rushing with 13 carries for 201 yards and two touchdowns, and has returned two punts for touchdowns so far this season. He has also played a key role on defense this season, accounting for a team-high 21 tackles along with one tackle for loss and an interception. Fryman is committed to play baseball at Louisville but he has also received football offers from Notre Dame, Louisville, Miami (OH), and Toledo.

[player_tooltip player_id='1715672' first='Nathan' last='Pabst'] is another Beechwood receiver who has stood out to me this season. Through his first five games, Pabst has caught 21 passes for 461 yards and five touchdowns. Pabst has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game. He is also impressive after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to pick up extra yards. Pabst has also carried the ball 18 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns this season, and has recorded nine tackles and one tackle for loss on defense. Nathan doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on over the next couple seasons.

After a very impressive freshman year, [player_tooltip player_id='1701050' first='John' last='Carrico'] has picked up right where he left off this season. Carrico lines up at right tackle where he is a dominant run blocker. He does a great job of running his feet through contact to drive his man down the field with ease and finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. John is also reliable in pass protection, showing the footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers while maintaining a strong base, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. Carrico currently holds offers from Louisville, Kentucky, Murray State, Eastern Kentucky, Miami (OH), and Hillsdale, and I expect more to come his way over the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1697789' first='Tristan' last='French'] is another member of the Owensboro Catholic offensive line who has impressed me this season. French lines up at right guard where he is a very reliable run blocker. He does a great job of positioning his body to walk off defenders to create a running lane then running his feet through contact to drive his man out of the picture quickly. In pass protection, French does a great job of keeping a strong base while absorbing contact to keep opposing defensive linemen away from the quarterback. Tristan currently holds offers from Muskingum, Kentucky Wesleyan, and Saint Mary of the Woods, and I expect more to come his way throughout his senior year.

Houk is a physical blocker, showing the strong initial punch to knock defenders off their feet with ease. He has also shown the ability to drive his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage. Andrew is also impressive in open space, showing the ability to pull from the tackle spot and pick up blocks with ease. Houk currently holds multiple offers, including a few from Division I programs, and I expect more to pile up for him this season.

Wolford lines up at right tackle where he is a mauler in the run game. He explodes out of his stance and drives his man off the scrimmage with a sense of urgency. Wolford finishes his blocks through the whistle with a ton of physicality, often resulting in a pancake block several yards down the field. He has also proven to be reliable in pass protection, showing the footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers while fighting with his hands to defeat pass rush moves with ease. Wolford currently holds offers from Pikeville, Georgetown (KY), Defiance, and Ottawa, and I expect more to come his way this season.
