TYLER CONSOLIDATED KNIGHTS
Defeated Class A #1-rated Cameron 14-12
The Tyler Consolidated Knights pulled off a gutsy road win over the #1-rated Class A Cameron Dragons as heavy underdogs to take a 14–12 victory and secured their first win over Cameron since 2015. That result also snapped a four-game losing streak against the Dragons and halted their own three-game skid for the season. In a tightly contested, low-scoring affair, the Knights showed heart and grit, turning their underdog status into a huge upset win.
This signature victory for the Knights not only ended two losing streaks but did so on the road, making Tyler Consolidated a worthy choice for Class AA Game Ball Team of the Week.
CLASS A:
MAN HILLBILLIES
Defeated Greenbrier West 20-0 for the first time since 1989
The Man Hillbillies showed great resolve after snapping a two-game skid with a strong bounce-back win over Greenbrier West, a performance that earns them our Class A Game Ball Team of the Week. The Hillbillies came out sharp and physical, dominating key phases of the game and refusing to let recent struggles define them for their first win over the Cavaliers since 1989. Their offense found rhythm, their defense made the stops when it mattered, and special teams held firm.
For a team that has endured some bumps lately, this was a statement effort and a reminder that Man is still dangerous and very much in the playoff mix.
