Week 5 Preview: Cyprus at West Jordan

Let's take a look at two teams that have started off on a good note. Both teams are looking to ride their momentum, but who comes out on top? Here are some key players to know.   Cyprus    Justice has been an effective running back this far. He showcases good vision and contact balance. He creates yards out of nothing and has done well creating and getting to the second level on his own. He shows a good burst and has been a big play threat when given the workload.     Aiden has been a big play receiver when given targets. He is an explosive player who does well creating separation and tracking the ball. If he can get more targets his way, it'll help them secure a big road win.     Mike has been fantastic on the Year and creating pressure. He's a player that can line up anywhere along the defensive front and is a player that shows good quickness to gain a positional advantage over his lineman.     Rhonan has done a fantastic job of earning reps and playing time as a Freshman. He's been effective in stopping the run and chasing down the ball carrier. He's earning valuable playing time that help down the line. He's been excellent for Cyprus.    West Jordan    Ayden is a signal caller that has good arm velocity and will need to have good ball placement to keep the chains moving and getting the offense in rhythm, should he be able to do that, it'll go a long way to helping maintain the time of possession.     Cody has been the best offensive player and is a complete three down back. He's been an effective runner and is a big part in the receiving game. If they can get him going early, it'll help maintain time of possession and shorten the game.     Mason has been exceptional and stepped in day one and locked down a starting position along the Offensive Line. He has an exceptional base, has good footwork, and is a player with great size for the position. He projects as a blindside tackle and should garner some D1 looks.     Paula has been fantastic on the defensive front and has done well in creating pressure and stopping the run. He showcases good size and has a strong base. He's going to be needed to stymie the run game of Cyprus.     Scooby has been fantastic this season and is one of the best backers in his class. He shows great instincts, sheds his blocks and does well in not getting bogged down in traffic. He moves well athletically and is a backer that is best when he is moving forward and attacking. Good traits for the class.     Porter has been a key defensive back and his play has allowed the other players along the secondary to take chances and be aggressive. He's done an excellent job of diagnosing plays and being a key part of the defense.     Anthony has been exceptional this year and has been all over the field. He's been used in coverage where his quickness and hip fluidity allows him to create chaos to the receivers and he does an excellent job at making a play on the ball. He's been used as a player to bring pressure and has done well with his speed in getting home. He's been exceptional this season for West Jordan.    That was our look at a key game.
