Top Senior Prospects off to Hot Starts

Marcello's explosiveness shines in this Week 1 tape. Marcello is able to hit the brakes and explode better than anyone in the state. RB isn't the position he'll be playing in college, but Marcello still does a nice job navigating traffic and running north-south. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Very excited to see what Marcello does for the rest of this season. His stock has been through the roof in the past couple of weeks. I'll watch Samson in person against OLSM in a couple of weeks. Until then, I'll keep an eye on his Weeks 1 and 2 tapes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This tape is impressive. For one, 1:13 is pretty dang long for a 1-game tape. It is apparent that Samson was a massive part of the DCC gameplan. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Anyways, there are some excellent highlights here. I'm impressed with Samson's burst at 0:29. A little bit of a stumble, but he's able to explode forward, sprinting through tight traffic and earning a ton of YAC. Next, 0:41 shows a great block. Love a receiver who can get his hands dirty and lock up a DB. Finally, 0:55 shows a good punt return. I am consistently impressed with Samson's ability to navigate traffic. Within half of a second after the snap, Nathan sees inside run, and he's attacking. Once the OT chips his defender and tries to work his way up to Nathan, he's already too far upfield. Similarly, Nathan reads off-tackle run at 0:23 and blows it up. I've seen it time and time again- Nathan is an elite run defender. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Finally, I love the sack at 0:35. The first highlight shows an incredible, textbook run fit. Finds the hole, explodes into it, and lays a massive hit on the RB. Second, a great grab on the slightly high ball in the endzone- really shows Charlie's potential as a redzone target. Finally, 0:24 (and other plays) show great blocks. Charlie looks like he was on a mission last week. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This would be a good season-long highlight tape. The fact that Charlie made so many eye-popping plays in week 1 is impressive. I'm consistently impressed with Camari's physicality at the line of scrimmage. Plus, you've got off-ball highlights like 0:10.
