Region 1: New Names to Know

Let's take a look at some players in Region 1 to keep an eye on this week.    Ledger has blossomed and fulfilled the promise he showed last year. He creates chaos for opposing defenses. He's a signal caller who will look at his first read and gets to his second read. He know from there he can dump off or take off with his legs. He is an elusive runner with good vision and finds ways to maximize his yardage. Because he is a threat to take off with his legs, it makes backers have to pause for an extra second and that creates havoc for opposing defenses as they have to account for everyone on the field and when plays break down, Ledger is deadly. He throws an accurate ball and does a good job of leading his receivers and keeping the ball out of danger. He is blossoming and making noise with each passing week.     Tanner is having an exceptional season, and he's been a dependable target and does well in getting open and creating separation. He does a good job at coming up big in high-leverage situations. He's a player who has a good frame to play the boundary and can create after the catch.     Xander is best as an on-ball backer where he can press forward and react. He has good pursuit, sheds his blocks, and is a player with good closing speed.     Nathan is having a big final year, and he's becoming the premier playmaker on the team. He does a good job of creating late separation and does well with winning contested catches. He's done a good job creating after the catch, and he has shown strong hands. He's primed for a big region play.     Lincoln has done a good job of being active and busy this season. He's done well in shedding his blocks and pursuing the ball carrier. He doesn't give up on a play and he shows a good burst. He'll look to create pressure on opposing signal callers in region play.     Luke has been exceptional this season, and he's been an active backer and has been a playmaker all over the field. He shows good quickness, is a backer who diagnoses plays quickly, and he has been a tremendous attacking defender who has been an instrumental piece of the defense.     Reese has been an effective two-way player this year, and the transfer hasn't affected him negatively. Offensively, he shows all the traits you want in a modern-day tight end: good athleticism, can be moved around, and transitions well upfield. Defensively, that's been the big surprise; he's been an active defender and in a hybrid backer role. He shows good instincts and does well in planting his back foot and making a play on the ball; there are plenty of traits to like.     Chase has been an effective player on defense and has been used on the offensive side. As a defensive back, he shows good range, vision, and ball tracking skills. He closes ground well and does a good job of disrupting plays that come his way.     Isaac has been an exceptional two-way player and, offensively, has been a key part of the offense. He's been the premier receiver with eyes on [player_tooltip player_id='438731' first='Bode' last='Sparrow'] and [player_tooltip player_id='905096' first='Tyson' last='Baggett']. He's been a receiver who does well in space and wins at all three levels. He creates well on his own and with the ball in his hand. Defensively, he's been a key contributor in the defensive backfield. He shows good range, has good ball tracking skills, and is a defender who has done well in creating momentum-changing plays. He has good hips and overall speed; he's got a lot of tools to like.     Dexter has been an active backer who does well off the line, and he shows the ability to weave through traffic and has good pursuit of the ball carrier. He's a fundamentally sound backer who does well attacking and pressing forward.    That was our look at some new names in Region 1.
