Multiple strong options presented itself for our “POTW” but we felt Woodson deserved it after a stellar performance in his team's 55-35 win over Station Camp. The Yellow Jackets quarterback has been on point since the season began, performing at a high level and producing big numbers each week. Against the Bison, Woodson was nearly flawless, throwing only four incompletions while generating almost 400 yards of total offense and five touchdowns. He was unstoppable where he performed and saw the field like a college veteran. I really like what I'm seeing from Woodson this season as I see college potential written all over him.

The West Tennessee region has a potential Mr. Football candidate here with Fullen as he's running through defenses so far this season, especially last week in his team's 49-7 win over First Assembly. The Rebels senior ball carrier could not be stopped last Friday where he ran for nearly 250 yards on 21 carries and four touchdowns. Fullen not only did work on offense but he produced on defense as well with an interception to go along with his exceptional offensive work. Through four games, Fullen is nearly averaging 200 yards rushing a game and I don't expect him to slow down the rest of the year.

The Bears are 3-1 on the season with their defense becoming the shining star and Westfield being that guy that leads the way. Last week in the Bears 24-10 win over Farragut, Westfield was an absolute beast as he produced ten total tackles with five of them for loss and four sacks on the night. This future Tulane Green Wave D-lineman could not be blocked nor kept out of the backfield. The Admirals offensive line had an extremely hard time dealing with Westfield due to his quick burst off the snap, his active hands and violent approach up front. This was a monster performance from Westfield and it may not be his last.

O-line Unit of the Week

East Hamilton Hurricanes (Notable Players: Jamel Jones, Drew Evans)
- Choosing our O-line Unit of the Week was hard but we felt the five guys up front for East Hamilton earned this honor after paving the road for their star players to shine within the team's 57-15 win over Signal Mountain. The Hurricanes are 4-0 to this point with their offensive line being a big surprise with their performance. Last week was a good example of their exceptional play as they did a good job of allowing quarterback Wyatt Miller time to throw while also opening running lanes for [player_tooltip player_id='1432197' first='Jaden' last='Haywood'] to produce over 200 yards of offense and four touchdowns against the Eagles.

QB: [player_tooltip player_id='1562196' first='J.C.' last='White'] - Lipscomb Acad. (Stats: 24-29 passing for 401 yds & 3 TD's)

- White nearly earned our statewide player of the week after his best high school performance to date in last week's big road win over MUS. The Mustangs senior passer was nearly flawless by throwing only five incompletions while tossing the ball for over 400 yards and three touchdowns in last week's victory. This kind of performance may be what White needs to push his game to another level.

- The Eagles went on the road last Friday and picked up a big victory over Forrest with Godfrey being a major factor behind those efforts. This senior running back had his breakthrough performance for the season by producing over 280 yards rushing and five touchdowns in the Eagles 44-34 win over the Rockets. Godfrey is a hidden gem that could run his way into Mr. Football contention with more big games like last week.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='1895555' first='Anden' last='Quinn'] - Lakeland Prep (Stats: 15 rec. for 255 yds & 4 TD's)

- Even though his squad took defeat last week, it wasn't from the lack of effort from Quinn as he was basically unguardable. The Lions senior wideout had his best game of his career against a talented Haywood secondary. Quinn hauled in 15 passes for a little more than 250 yards and four touchdowns on the night. This performance helped his stock a ton, showing Quinn can compete versus high level talent.

- Haywood jumped out and flexed his muscles in a big way last week in his team's win over Signal Mountain. This future ETSU Buccaneer did just about everything from scoring three rushing touchdowns to hauling in a pass catching score while also producing an interception on defense. Haywood is one of the best pure athletes in this state that D1 coaches are currently sleeping on.

DL/Edge: [player_tooltip player_id='1635121' first='Cayden' last='Talley'] - Chester Co. (Stats: 6 tcks, 5 TFL & 5 sacks)

- The Eagles moved to 2-2 on the season after a commanding victory over Hardin Co. last week with Talley being a major force on the defensive side of the ball. This senior D-lineman was in the Tigers backfield all night long where he harassed the quarterback towards producing five sacks on the night. Talley is an under the radar talent that certainly helped his stock with this performance and with more like it, he may see a jump in his senior ranking.

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='1895564' first='Ford' last='Bowman'] - Providence Academy ‘28 (Stats: 20 tcks, 2 TFL & 2 sacks)

- Bowman was a tackling machine in his team's 48-27 win over West Greene last week and a prospect that is starting to emerge as someone to watch from our #TN2028 recruiting class. The Knights sophomore linebacker was everywhere on the field last Friday, making plays sideline to sideline while also getting into the backfield on a consistent basis.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='1614217' first='Jaden' last='Lark'] - Blackman (Stats: 2 Int's w/ one returned for a TD (80 yd blocked FG for a TD)

- The Blaze ran their record to 4-0 after defeating Nolensville last week, 41-7 and Lark was a major factor behind that victory. It could be stated alone that Lark won this game for Blackman as he picked off two passes on defense with one of them returned for a touchdown while also blocking a field goal and returning that back for six as well. He was a singular force in this game that dictated the outcome.
