PRZ AL Game of the Week: Thompson (4-1) v. Clay Chalkville (5-0)

Welcome back! We're previewing a huge Week 4 matchup between Hewitt Trussville (4-0) and Hillcrest (3-1)   Both these teams have STACKED rosters, so we're discussing who we think everyone should look out for this week.   As always, check out these prospects' film below! You won't want to miss out on this group.   Let's dive in:   <h1 class="wp-block-heading">OFFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">THOMPSON</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='216690' first='Trent' last='Seaborn'] has been off to another great start this season, leading his team to a 4-1 record against some tough opponents across the nation.   “Seaborn has a terrific understanding of his offense and what to do with the ball- he scans the entire field, makes great decisions, and quickly gets the ball out, never putting it in harm's way.    On top of his mental attributes, Seaborn has a heck of an arm he uses to make difficult throws all over the field- he's a top-tier passer with tons of talent and potential.“   Seaborn's been having another great season. I'm excited to watch him compete with a defense of Clay Chalkville's caliber. We have a big game on our hands this week.      [player_tooltip player_id='1621006' first='Dedrick' last='Kimbrough'], a dominant second-year WR, has been unstoppable this season.   “Kimbrough is a complete WR with an incredible skill set as an underclassman- he has great size, electric speed, and an incredibly reliable set of hands he uses to make highlight-reel catches all over the field.   I'm really impressed with Kimbrough's route running and body control- he gains tons of separation at every level of the field and can haul in ridiculous catches through coverage/contact. Any ball is catchable for a guy like Kimbrough- he has a terrific catch radius, great body control, and strong hands he uses to secure passes in some impressive ways.“   Kimbrough and Seaborn have connected for some massive plays this season. We definitely need to watch out for them this Friday. Clay Chalkville will have its hands full trying to slow down Kimbrough.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">CLAY CHALKVILLE</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1452292' first='Aaron' last='Frye'], an Alabama State commit, is one of the state's top passers and is having a really productive senior year.   “Frye is a talented passer who can make some seriously impressive throws all over the field. Frye has some great mechanics – he has great footwork, a natural throwing motion, and excellent timing with his wide receivers.   In addition to his arm talent, Frye can make huge plays with his legs. He has great mobility and can easily bail out of the pocket and find rushing lanes to move the chains.“   I've been really impressed with Frye this season. He's a really well-rounded passer who gets the ball out quickly to his WRs, no matter where they are on the field. I'm really looking forward to watching him face off against this Thompson defense.      [player_tooltip player_id='401089' first='Corey' last='Barber Jr.'], an Ole Miss commit, is one of the top WRs in the state this season.   “Barber is highly athletic and plays with a ton of speed and quickness out wide. He flies downfield, gains tons of separation, and constantly finds ways to get open everywhere on the field. Barber is a physical matchup nightmare for DBs- he makes impressive grabs using his size, catch radius, and body control– it's really impressive seeing how he positions himself to haul in passes.   After the catch- good luck stopping Barber, he is a problem and can shake off tackles and create huge plays downfield off of shorter passes.“   Barber has been unstoppable over the last two seasons. He's one of the most explosive WRs in the nation, and Thompson will have to find a way to slow him down. We're going to have some exciting battles out in the secondary this week.     <h1 class="wp-block-heading">DEFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">THOMPSON</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='646290' first='Cam' last='Pritchett'], an Oregon commit, is one of the top EDGE/DL prospects in the nation.   “Pritchett is quick off the snap and immediately generates tons of penetration into the backfield- he's excellent at stopping the run and generates tons of pressures/sacks as a pass rusher. Pritchett is a hard prospect to slow down in the trenches- he dominates opposing OL with his power and speed and consistently makes or assists his teammates in making game-changing plays.“   Pritchett can hurt offenses in so many different ways. Clay Chalkville's OL will have to find a way to slow him down early so they can move the ball. It'll be a tough task for their group up front.      [player_tooltip player_id='408641' first='Micah' last='Fleming'] has emerged as one of the top DBs in the state, erasing WRs from games through the first part of the season.   “Fleming is a lockdown corner who excels in coverage- he does a great job tracking opposing QBs' eyes and frequently breaks on routes to jar free/pick off passes. QBs actively avoid Fleming's side of the field; he provides such good coverage that some QBs won't even look his way.   Fleming also plays with incredible instincts and athleticism- he is terrific at identifying and reacting to plays, and has the speed to fly around the entire field and create huge stops regardless of where he lined up pre-snap.”   I've been super impressed with Fleming this season. Barely anyone has thrown his way, and if they have, it's usually a big mistake. [player_tooltip player_id='1452292' first='Aaron' last='Frye'] might want to look away from his side of the field this week.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">CLAY CHALKVILLE</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1604812' first='Deon' last='Callins'], a South Alabama commit, has put together a dominant senior season out in Clay Chalkville's secondary.   "Callins is a dominant outside corner who consistently provided great coverage and run defense all of last year. Callins is incredibly reliable out in coverage- he's patient, isn't easily beat downfield, and has great hands he uses to break up passes and haul in INTs all over the field.   Callins also plays with a ton of effort and pursuit- he frequently makes sideline-to-sideline plays and will work his way across the field to come up with some hustle plays."   It's been exciting keeping track of Callins this season. He's been off to a great start, locking up WRs and making huge splash plays against teams all across the state. Clay Chalkville has some serious juice out in their secondary, with Callins leading the pack.      [player_tooltip player_id='1700878' first='Colton' last='McIntyre'] is a dominant DL on Clay Chalkville's defensive front who is having a monster junior season this fall.   "McIntyre is explosive in the trenches. At 6'2 285, he has a unique blend of power, strength, and quickness that makes him a problem for opposing OL to deal with. McIntyre explodes out of his stance, plays with great leverage, and has dominant strength he uses to get into the backfield and create plays for loss.   It's impressive seeing how well-rounded McIntyre is already. He's an every-down threat against the run and pass who can make some really impressive plays in pursuit. It'll be exciting to watch him this fall."   McInytre has been on a tear this season, and currently is one of the top sack leaders in the state. I've been seriously impressed with his play this season. Thompson will have to find a way to slow him down; he's a relentless pass rusher.
