[player_tooltip player_id='1591745' first='Ryder' last='Carpenter'] 27' RB Mountain View

The elite baseball prospect has a stock that is already skyrocketing on the football field leaving no doubt in the 42-0 win over Lebanon. On the night he had 178 total yards and 4 TDs on only 3 carries, which included a 100-yard pick 6 to the house... Yes, you read that right.

[player_tooltip player_id='769925' first='Oliver' last='Luebkert'] 26' WR/DB Beaverton

Hands down one of the best players in the NW. The Eastern Washington commit finished with 240 all-purpose yards (188 receiving) in the 28-21 win over Central. I would bet a lot that multiple mid major D1's come in over the year and vie for his services.

[player_tooltip player_id='1569373' first='Jakai' last='Phillips'] 26' RB North Salem

The returning 2nd team all-conference back absolutely went off in their opener going for 400+ all purpose and 6 TDs (5 rushing, 1 kick return), in the 49-32 win over South Salem.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591586' first='Luke' last='Ortner'] 27' RB Jesuit

Both teams made a lot of mistakes In Jesuit's 13-7 loss, but the Jr. RB Ortner was consistent all night, rushing 36 times for 206 yards and their only TD, to go with a 40-yard reception.

[player_tooltip player_id='1878395' first='Colby' last='Owen'] 27' RB Lakeridge

The D1 lacrosse standout looks like one of the fastest rising junior prospects in Oregon through 2 games. He was extra clutch with [player_tooltip player_id='284119' first='Ansu' last='Sanoe'] going down in the 2nd quarter, finishing with 22 carries for 144 yards and 3 TDs, in the 33-14 win over #8 Mountainside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1359052' first='Trevor' last='Glos'] 27' QB/ [player_tooltip player_id='1699751' first='Luke' last='Carli'] 26' WR Wilsonville

The 2x 5A state champs were down 20-6 at half to a talented 6A Sandy team, but rallied behind the Jr. QB Glos and his underrated teammate Carli for the 34-27 win. On the night Glos hit on 17/24 passes for 240 yards and 4 TDs with 3 of them going to Carli.

[player_tooltip player_id='1585700' first='Cole' last='Thomas'] 26' Safety Central Catholic

It was good to see Thomas pick up a couple D1 offers over the offseason. He showed why against Central Catholic of California, picking off a ball and taking it to the house, to go with 12 tackles and 100+ all-purpose yards in the 36-22 win.

Tualatin D- [player_tooltip player_id='914293' first='Trenton' last='Hertzog'] 26' OLB/ [player_tooltip player_id='1878405' first='Cody' last='Hartley'] 26' LB

The T Wolves D stepped up big finishing with 6 sacks and 7 TFL's on the night. Baseball standout [player_tooltip player_id='914293' first='Trenton' last='Hertzog'] finished with 2 sacks, with [player_tooltip player_id='1878405' first='Cody' last='Hartley'] being one of the surprise players statewide through the first 2 games. He added another 2 tackles for loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654724' first='Hunter' last='Vaughn'] 26' ATH Willamette

The kid who went for 4000+ yards and 62 TDs at the 1A level last year can also do it playing 6A ball. He was key all night in Willamette's impressive 34-7 win over South Medford, scoring on a 65-yard punt return and 13-yard rush. Look for him to do it all year.

[player_tooltip player_id='402407' first='Dylan' last='Brower'] 26' QB/ [player_tooltip player_id='1585698' first='Justin' last='Larsen'] 26' WR Clackamas

Brower continues to show that he is one of the top QBs in Oregon, going 22 of 30 for 304 yards and 7 TDs, with the 6-2 Larsen being another one of the state's most underrated. He finished with 6 total TDs (5 receiving) in the 58-36 win over Wells.

[player_tooltip player_id='1234612' first='Jalen' last='Bauman'] 26' CB Lake Oswego

The 1st team all-state returner Bauman is one of the fastest players in the West. He completely shut down his side of the field allowing 0 receptions, while also returning a 50-yard punt in the 51-7 win over Sheldon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1585712' first='Chase' last='Eriksen'] 26' DB/[player_tooltip player_id='1660162' first='Hunter' last='Rivers'] 26' LB/ [player_tooltip player_id='1878396' first='Aidan' last='Galusha'] 27' LB Dallas

Almost every year the Dallas Dragons are legit and underappreciated. On Friday they beat down a good 5A team in Churchill winning 30-6. Their defense was the key with all state returner Eriksen and his teammate Rivers leading the team with 10 tackles each. All while Jr. LB [player_tooltip player_id='1878396' first='Aidan' last='Galusha'] put himself on the map finishing with 8 tackles for loss and 4 TFL's.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609595' first='Iden' last='Rule'] 28' RB Tualatin

Remember the name. Rule should be considered one of the top two-way threats in the state and he's only a sophomore. He did a good job out of the backfield with [player_tooltip player_id='937241' first='Cole' last='Hachmeister'] being injured, finishing with 19 carries for 73 yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Noah' last='Tishendorf'] 26' DE + [player_tooltip player_id='1110918' first='Zach' last='Coburn'] 26' DL Lakeridge

The 6A POY candidate Tishendorf and his talented teammate Coburn caused problems all night for Mountainside, each racking up multiple sacks in the 1st in 3rd quarters in the 33-14 win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1345172' first='Jarrett' last='Martin'] 26' ATH Banks

Martin turned a lot of heads over the offseason with his film and overall versatility. He backed that up on both sides of the ball finishing with 5 of his teams 6 TDs, including an INT for a touchdown, in the 41-14 win over a good Santiam Christian program.

[player_tooltip player_id='937232' first='Kellen' last='Bowman'] 26' QB South Salem

One of the best baseball players in Oregon once again showed what he could do from the QB spot, hitting on 32 of 58 passes for 437 yards and 2 TD's, while losing the Mayor's Trophy to cross town rival North Salem 49-32.

[player_tooltip player_id='1425922' first='Tahkai' last='Smith'] 28' WR Westview 6-103-1 TD 40-0 W Mcminnville

Smith played varsity ball as a freshman and started off this season on a high note, catching 6 passes for 103 yards and a TD, in the 40-0 win over McMinnville. He will likely continue to climb the 2028 rankings board.
