OAA Gold + Blue Early Season Sleepers

Keeping up with every prospect in every league is impossible. Every Monday-Thursday, I try to play catch-up with all of the performances I've missed. Today, I'll be taking a look at over a dozen highlight tapes in the OAA. Here, we've got players representing the OAA Gold and OAA Blue.    Cole is an aggressive, reactive, physical defender. His highlight tape against Ferndale is not extremely long, but it is quality.   0:08 shows great reaction to the screen. Cole stays home, does his job as the flat defender, and lays a sound tackle on the receiver for minimal yardage. 0:16 is an even better highlight, as Cole delivers a huge hit to the QB trying to sneak into the endzone. I always like seeing defenders drive the ball carrier backward.   Finally, 0:24 and 0:28 are both offensive plays. Both designed QB runs. On both occasions, Cole runs with great authority and earns positive yardage.      Hollingsworth is a big play waiting to happen. His Stevenson tape is a whopping 4 minutes 44 seconds long, highlighting his value and usage.   Kicking things off is an excellent kick return. Love the explosiveness and top speed shown. Just had one more man to beat!   0:55 kicks off offensive highlights. First highlight showcases an off-tackle run. Leland does a good job initially staying patient, then he explodes into the secondary and down the sideline. 1:22 is the same play, just a little zoomed in. 3:05 is another good highlight at running back. Great job hitting the hole hard, exploding upfield, and giving that extra effort to get into the endzone.   Leland's burst shows up on several occasions. High upside player, and someone who should continue to find success in the OAA Blue.      Willie flashed his upside against Walled Lake Western.   At 0:23, Willie does a great job holding his ground, then smashing into the A gap, making the stop. Then, 0:48 is a phenomenal goalline stop. Willie's teammate does a phenomenal job forcing the RB inside, then he finishes it off. Similarly, Willie crashes inside and forces WLW to run another play at NF's goalline.   Willie is a productive run-stopper. He does a good job holding his ground, then attacking adjacent gaps.      Jayden Yousif is a brick wall. Extremely difficult to get through. His tape kicks off with a phenomenal block, exploiting the defender's momentum and forcing him to the ground. Second, a good base block, getting the DT away of the B gap and opening up a hole for his RB.   The rest of his week 1 tape generally shows great power. Constantly stopping D-Lineman in their tracks, and allowing his offense to run at a smooth, unrushed pace. Great blocking against Seaholm!      A safety who made a number of great run stops against Oak Park last Friday.   Jaylen lays a huge hit on the QB in the first highlight. It takes him a moment to fully recognize the play, and he initially takes a poora angle, but once the QB hit the open field, Jaylen lowers his shoulder and laid a really nice hit. Similarly, 0:27 is a good open-field stop. Finally, 0:57 shows a solid block.
