Northern California Underrated Prospects

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Northern California continues to produce hidden gems on the football field—players with the talent, drive, and upside to thrive at the next level but who may not yet be on every radar. Here's a look at some of NorCal's most underrated prospects who are ready to make noise.</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Harper is a consistent, high IQ wide receiver with strong hands and ideal length at 6'2” 175 lbs., with room to add mass. He shows advanced body control, excels in contested catches, and tracks the ball naturally with sharp mid-route and mid-air adjustments. Plus spatial awareness, he consistently finds soft spots in coverage to create throwing lanes. He attacks the ball with confidence whether high pointing over defenders or securing touch catches through contact. Deceptive vertical speed and uses subtle separation techniques to be effective at all levels. After the catch, he mixes power and balance to fight through tackles and break free in open space. Through three games this season, he's racked up 318 yards and two touchdowns on 12 receptions. He plays fast and confidently, showing the strong closing speed and a quick trigger when diagnosing plays. Physical tackles who sheds blocks well and finishes with authority, rarely missing in open space. Accelerates his feet upon contact and violently drives ball carriers to the ground. Aggressive in run support, attacking downhill with purpose and control. In coverage, he displays good awareness and versatility, capable of matching up with tight ends, running backs, or slot receivers. He maintains discipline in his reads, reacts quickly to what he sees, and positions himself well to disrupt passing lanes. Recently picked up his first offer from Jamestown.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">At 6'4” 205 lbs. this WR brings a solid blend of size, length, and athleticism that makes him a matchup nightmare on the perimeter. He uses his frame effectively to shield defenders and high the ball in contested catch situations, showing strong hands and body control. With a smooth stride and long acceleration, he builds speed quickly and can stretch the field vertically. Length gives him excellent catch radius and extends out to play the ball outside his framework. A tough tackle after the catch, he's physical and can pick up yards after contact with good length drive and strength, especially against secondary defenders. He's a redzone weapon with his height and ability to adjust mid-air. A willing blocker on the perimeter, he adds value even when the ball isn't coming his way. Could develop into a TE prospect as he progresses.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">At 6'1” 230 lbs. Schwarm is a high-motor, disruptive defender with positional flexibility at the next level. Though currently playing DE, his size, strength, and athletic profile project well to multiple roles, including edge, interior DL, or LB depending on how he develops physically. He fires off the ball with quick burst and shoots gaps efficiently, consistently creating early backfield pressure. He shows strong hand usage to shed blocks and works through contact with power and balance. His tackles are physical and forceful, using leverage and lower body drive to finish plays. Against the run, he tracks well laterally and closes quickly in tight spaces, showing the ability to make backside and downfield tackles. As a pass rusher, he blends speed and strength to collapse the pocket and win matchups off the edge. Also a high level wrestler in the state, he brings natural leverage, body control, and competitiveness to the field that elevate his impact at the POA.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Lavoie is a strong, versatile defensive lineman with ideal length and a sturdy frame at 6'5” 240 lbs. and an 80” wingspan. He plays with power at the POA, holds his ground against double teams, and shows disciplined gap control. Off the snap, he's explosive with quick hand placement and a violent disengage, allowing him to disrupt plays early at or behind the LOS. Against the run, he's technically sound and effective at defeating blockings and redirecting down the line. As a pass rusher, he flashes power moves, short area burst, and surprising bend for his size. Possesses a lot of key traits to play multiple positions at the college and warrants more recruiting attention as a senior.</p>
