New name alert in our 2029 class at the quarterback position, as we meet Colton Bucholtz of Garretson. The limited clips we might have, do pay off some dividends for Colton as his rushing touchdown showed off great elusiveness for his age as it's clear his vision out of the pocket has some brewing upside for the Blue Dragons gunslinger. Colton had one of the longest passing touchdowns in the Dakotas as he found Jackson Arend for a 74-yarder on a deep throw that he couldn't have placed it much better for his wide receiver to advance it upfield. His release appears quicker than I expected as a 2029 that surely needs to get on my 2029 rankings in the coming months.

The constant efficency that Landon got off his first cut in their big victory over Tea Area on the road shows me why he and the Tigers are 11AA's biggest risers. The 6'0 195 pounder showed off plenty of fluidity once he hit the open field and is showing how durable he can be getting yards after contact. This kid was also a menace in the Titans backfield at linebacker, as even though we do not have those stats the tape shows it clearly as a two-way athlete that is surely going to be a stockriser in this 2026 class

Another athlete that I feel is finally starting to catch waves across the state this week is Mobridge-Pollock 2027 running back [player_tooltip player_id='1275173' first='Mack' last='Saxon']. You can check the receipts, that we have been on Mack for a while and he showed why he's one of my favorite running backs in the state in this 2027 class. He's moving with even more natural fluidity when he progresses upfield than even what I saw during camp season. Just because he's added more open field vision doesn't mean that Mack can't take the secondary for a ride getting yards after contact as that continued to flourish in Week 3. His great camp season is leverging over to the fall season which I love to see.

Daevion was business as usual in the Cavaliers 42-14 win over Sioux Falls Washington last week. Our RB2 in the South Dakota 2026 class not only was wired with the usual durable nature he has getting constant yards after contact like he has done over the years, but man I love how his instincts and vision have grown even since last season. Just how much quicker Daevion is seeing the open field with his vision and making his cuts to find even more green grass upfield is different this year. He certainly has a 3 week tape you will want to check out, college coaches.

Remember how I mentioned that Sully was going to be a 2026 RB you were going to need to circle in 11AA on my Preseason All-State Team? He proved why last week against 11AAA Rapid City Stevens, going for four big touchdowns against the Raiders defense. Sully rushed for nearly 11 yards per carry and watching back the tape their were several chunk plays that saw him break free. Shoutout to the Scoopers offenisve linemen as Sully had some solid lanes to run thru, but I was impressed with the enhanced amount of yards he gained after contact as I would love to see what that number was last week in Rapid City. He has seen growth in his senior season with how fluid he has become with his inside runs that fly up the A-gap as Sully certainly is showing more durability on tape thus far this season as a senior backer still waiting on his first offer!

Broc recorded nearly 300 all purpose yards in multi areas in their 45-6 win in Week 3 against Faith. Got a chance to have Broc at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Spring and watching the tape from this fall it's evident the strides forward this young man has made. Especially with his route-running, his breaks to the ball show off a lot tighther than what he showed off during his freshmen season. You can surely call Broc a swiss-army knife on all three sides of the ball as that stat line is pretty balanced from what he offers as a pass catcher, return man, and being an asset in motion with the jet sweep especially. Surely one of a couple sophomores from Timber Lake I am fired up about.
