I was out at the Mid Atlantic Pig-Skin Classic all last weekend being held at Abessinio Stadium - Salesianum HS. It spanned 3 days - Thursday, Friday, Saturday - and totaled 7 games featuring teams from all around the Mid Atlantic Area. Below is part 2 of highlighting some key players from that weekend of games that had big games and caught my eye as must see prospects.

A big play wide receiver for Howard Tech, Korey was a big reason for their blowout victory over the weekend. Korey totaled 4 rec. for 150 yds and 2 TDs in the game and those TDs came on impact plays. The first score was an 80yd bomb where he ran past and then away from the defense. He then had a 50yd TD catch where he stemmed his route well, then stuck his foot in the ground on a post route to create separation. This caused the DB to open up gave the space for Korey to run right by the defense once again for the score. Overall, Kore is a long, lean body WR with a smooth stride that comes from him being a track runner. He comes off the ball with nice acceleration, quickly gets on top of the DB and pushes vertical on his routes. Korey shows the ability to track the ball well and has natural hands...always catching the pass away from the body. For now he is mainly used in screen or vertical game, so I would like to see him develop a full route tree over time.

Korey is a prospect on the rise after this weekends performance. If he can continue to have games like that this season expect colleges to be reaching out and think he will show well on the camp circuit next summer.

A player who caught my eye in warm-ups before the game for DeMatha. Jordan is a great size and frame player who looks stands out in a crowd. He has added good bulk/muscle over the year and shows well as an edge rush DE. Jordan played with a high motor all game long. He fights thru contact, can get on his horse and can run & chase down the ball from backside pursuit, and he gets sideline to sideline. Jordan flashed nice speed -to-power & leverage off the snap as well. He get good initial pop and gets blockers on their heels as he gets upfield and then finds & gets ball. One play he even shoulder charged into the blocker, sending him back and creating the space for Jordan to slip inside and down the line to make the tackle at the LOS.

I think Jordan is going to have a big senior campaign & will be a steal for someone at the FCS or even FBS level. Currently he holds FCS offers from Long Island Univ and Howard, but more schools should be pulling the trigger on him. He has size and athleticism and looks to have put it all together this season to be a total package. He will easily continue to add good muscle/bulk when he gets into a college weight room program and could develop into a dominate DL.

Brendon was key piece of Downingtown West hanging around all game with St. John's (DC) as they gave a great fight to the final whistle. Brendon made key plays on both sides of the ball at WR and DB. He had some nice catches on offense showing off his playmaking ability and had one very tough acrobatic catch. One defense he had an excellent INT, where he said on the WRs hip while looking back & locating the ball. He didn't drift into the WRs path or cause any contact/interference and then went up and out high pointed the SJC WR for the ball. Brendon showed nice ball skills and body control, and overall athleticism all game when attacking passes both as a WR and CB. He has good burst, twitch & speed when he runs and showcases that after the catch as well.

Currently Brendon has no offers to my knowledge but that should change by the ned of this fall in my mind. He is a offer kid at the FBS/FCS level and should get some P4 looks and camp invites next summer too. Look for Brendon to have an excellent year for a quality Downingtown West (PA) team.

I don't know if any player all weekend had a better stat line than what Jaylen was able to do in Atlantic City (NJ) game vs Mainland (NJ). On the game he had 8 catches for 240 yards and 2 TDs and he made his presence felt immediately. One the first offense play of the game for AC, Jaylen took a quick slant 90yds for a score. He ran a crisp route, made that catch, eluded one defender with some good hip wiggle and then out ran the rest of the defense to the end zone. Jaylen's other TD was a short pass where he broke away from one tackler, then broke through another attempted tackler and our ran everyone again for the score. A verified 10.7 100M runner that speed checked out in the game on those two plays. Overall Jaylen showed great hands, legit speed / acceleration, as well as tough running and playmaking ability with the ball in his hands.

Jaylen is a 2026 prospect with no offers from what I can find and that should change immediately. I think FCS and D2 schools should get on him right away as he is a no brainer money kid.

Dajon was difference maker for SJC in their victory over the weekend and took home game MVP honors. He is a yoked up, physical downhill RB who fights for yards & doesn't go down easily. Dajon had 2 rushing TDs where he dragged a whole group of defenders into the end zone. He kept his legs churning, fighting for yards and barreled his through would be tacklers to get into the end zone. Dajon also demonstrated good feet when running the ball. He cuts well, with quick lateral movements that turn into accelerating north-south in limited steps. With a nice jump cut ability as well, he find the hole and gets going in a hurry. I have seen Dajon be a difference maker in the screen game, and as receiver out of the backfield in the past as well.

A top RB prospect in his class, Dajon holds five P4 offers and that number should rise if he continues to run the ball this way all season long. SJC has another tough matchup this week against St. Joseph's Regional (NJ) and I look forward to seeing what Dajon does in that game as well.
