Heritage vs Ridgeland Top Performers

There were 11 players who caught my attention when I attended the Heritage Generals vs Ridgeland Panthers game in person on Friday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Both Ridgeland and Heritage have some talented players. The game was won by Heritage 30-7, but the performance from both teams showed that the players can be game changers. Here are my top performers, starting with the Heritage Generals and moving to the Ridgeland Panthers. He was a dominant force running the ball and showed true patience and trust in his Heritage offensive linemen. He was aggressive at the point of attack, and wasn't an easy player to bring down. If I were to project him today, I would say that he is someone who deserves a shot in college. He is much bigger than you would think in person, and has a bit of a tight end look to him, but his route running and speed combination, along with his size, tells you all you need to know about the receiver he is. He is someone who made the Ridgeland defense struggle at times, especially in the screen game, because he was often able to get to the third level. He was able to get going early, and his flame never died out. While he didn't light up the stat sheet and had a quiet night, that is exactly what you would want. This means that at no point was anyone open. I must say that Foster is very quick, and his hips are very fluid at the third level. Foster is one of the better players in the area at the cornerback position, and he also plays wide receiver. He opened their defensive effort with a huge interception. This was a turning point for the Heritage Generals. He shows great patience, and I like his upside in zone. The sky is the limit for the talented prospect, but we will see how that translates to college. He did throw an interception to Ridgeland's best defender on the night, but the plays he made were much better. He was arguably the MVP in this one, but it was hard to beat the performance that Slaughter had. Hight has the potential to be a warrior for this team moving forward, as his arm is getting better and better. He scored off a screen pass, which was inside the red zone. The Generals made it a point to design him on this play, and it shows. He is also one of the more dominant players that I have seen this season. I believe that if he were a 2027 right now, there wouldn't be a question on the offer factor, but I think if any team gives him a chance, even if it is as a project player, he will be one player I could comfortably call a steal. He is explosive and is great at both WR and S. He had an interception and a touchdown in this game and is the MVP for the Panthers, as expected. He is impressive with the ball in his hands and is someone that the defense must prep for during the week. He has a ton of length and size. He is one of the anchors of this defense, and I think he is very key when preventing big plays. He is one of the more physical and contact-heavy players on this roster, and he is only a Sophomore. I believe he can develop into a star for this team, and very well could be the captain of this program. He worked hard to get to the point of attack, which he loves. There is a lot to like about him, and he will only get better. Similar to the other guys on this list, he has another year to go to work.
