Continuing with my list of 2028 players to keep tabs on, we're now looking at the tight ends. Several across the Volunteer State have stood out, but I narrowed my list to just four.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201841' first='Braxton' last='Rein'] from Baylor School is at the top of the list. The big sophomore has already become a blue-chip recruit, but is only scratching the surface of his potential.

The other three have the talent to be big-time recruits and will need more time to develop, but are on the right path.

Rein is one of the up-and-coming in-state tight ends for the 2028 class with plenty of great traits. He already has D1 size at 6-foot-6 and 235 pounds with nice athleticism and speed. The sophomore tight end is a good run blocker who gets off the line quickly, has nice technique when setting up on his block and driving defenders through the echo of the whistle.

While he's a good blocker, the Red Raider has been an excellent receiving threat for his offense. Rein's route running is solid for someone as big as him, and he has an excellent feel for his surroundings. On top of that, he has strong hands and can make contested catches. After a strong start to his sophomore season, Rein may be TE1 in his class.

The sophomore from Smith County is a massive man at 6-foot-7 and 225 pounds. He's a versatile receiving option who can line up on the outside or the end of the line. Cornwell has nice hands and fights for extra yardage while being a solid route runner.

He's a strong player on the offensive line with good blocking techniques. He has a high motor and plays hard, constantly looking for someone to hit. Cornwell needs to polish up a few things, but he's already a good player.

Clinite is an intriguing player with a lot of potential. The sophomore from Lipscomb Academy has a massive frame with long arms and the space to put on more weight. He's a solid receiving threat who's strong and doesn't get pushed around when running.

Clinite could use some work with his fluidity in the route-running department, but he has nice speed and athleticism. The TE has strong hands and the ability to make contested catches due to his size.

He's been solid with the Mustangs through the first month, showing a high ceiling due to his build and receiving potential.

The Beech Buccaneer is a solid contributor to his offense. They're not a heavy passing attack team, so he doesn't have many opportunities to showcase his catching ability, but his receiving skills are nice.

The best part of Keith's game is his blocking. He's sound in the run game with good technique, hand placement and pad level. He's not going to wow you on the stat sheet, but he's an impact player who allows the Bucs to do a lot with his ability to block at the tight end position.
